Do this batteries support charging cause these are maintenance free battery ? And 2 years life for battery is ok ?Originally posted by Sandi888 View PostCharge your battery. Most probably Your battery is low, and if charging doesn't help try replacing your battery.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
The service guys told me to charge the battery once in 3-4 months. My bike is just 7 months old and the battery is almost dying. I have installed a bigger and louder horn and led headlight, but the stock battery is worthless according to me. I was thinking of going with Amaron, i am using it since 8 years in my car and other 2-Wheelers.Originally posted by SOMESH SHINDE View PostDo this batteries support charging cause these are maintenance free battery ? These looks nice.
Can you post pics of these mounted on the bike ? Do these touch the rear foot pegs ?
These look the best for a Solo Trip. But have to consider a Pillion too for short trips.
Will a pillion be able to rest onto the foot Pegs once the bag is mounted on the bike because of its 50L capacity ?
Also considering the ViaTerra Rapide (https://viaterragear.com/shop/luggag...le-saddlebags/) due to its compact size of 38L storage.
Any one using this on gixxer SF?
Pics will be really helpful.
Thanks !

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
it will degrade the battery faster. For aux lamps try AUXBEAM from Amazon, original and comes with a year of warranty. Stay away from duplicates, total waste of cash.Originally posted by aadesh_aach View PostIm thinking of installing fog lamps on my gixxer sf. How will it affect the battery. Also get teh bike checked at an SVC to diagnose a critical problem, not at your local mechanic.
If you are asking whether a bike breaking down is normal, then No its not normal for any bike to simple breakdown without a proper reason.
P.S: If the "drive shaft" really did get damaged then it means the previous owner abused the bike. Return it (if you can) if that turns out to be the case.
The image below is what your "local mechanic" is claiming needs to be replaced:

Thanks I got it checked at the service center - It was the issue with the front sprocket and got it replaced. Thanks again for the help! My Main issue is that the guy I spoke to at service center said its the manufacturing fault with gixxer (Faulty drive shaft - The one you showed in the image)Pawan Kumar Shakya

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
The stock front tyre isn't radial.Originally posted by icarious View PostAs tyre talks are trending recently, here goes anotheer tyre query for any future replacement, even though my tyres are still golden
. I like the feel of the stock ones (specially the overall flickability and the grip). I don't want to mess with the sizes by going for other makes (The Pirelli Diablo Rosso II having same sizes is another story). The manual lists the following as the stock
Front : 100/80-17M/C 52P
Rear : 140/60R17M/C 63P
However as per https://www.mrftyres.com/products/tyres if one selects Gixxer/Gixxer SF we get the following
Front : 100/80 R17 TL or 100/80-17 TL
Rear : 140/60 R17 TL
Now I understand the difference between the (M/C) being "Specified for Motorcycle use" as specified in the manual and the (TL) being "Tubeless Type" as specified in the MRF website being mere terminological differences. But the stock front tyre as specified in the manual misses the 'R' unlike the rear. Isn't the stock front tyre radial then? However, MRF is providing both the R and without R front options in the website. If the stock front tyre isn't radial, does replacing it with a radial provide any added advantage? I also see the 52P / 63P values being missing in the website product info too. What are these? I hope we do get as-is tyre replacement from MRF as Suzuki provided for Gixxer
P.S : a) Can anyone list the approx prices of the stock MRF tyres along with the Pirelli Diablo Russo II of same sizes and possibly the rims too?
b) Differences between Stock MRFs and Pirelli Diablo Rosa II
The 52P/63P are the load indexes for the tyres. Google for more information regarding this.
Stock MRF tyre should cost around ~3.2k.
The DR2 costs around 6k and it comes in 140/70 size.
Tyres with the 140/60 size are very rare.
The DR2 is stickier and has lesser life. It is also more puncture prone.
If you're happy with the stocks, I would advise you to stick to the stock tyres.
