https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jGHobDpHYsQ bought this osram t10 led from Amazon.in. Not much of difference with the cheap Chinese bulb, but looks long lasting and comes with warranty. I'm happy with the purchase.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Oil seems to be leaking from the magneto wire/magneto cover junction. There should be an easy fix like applying Anabond gasket maker 666 or something like that. Is the SVC first acknowledging that there is an oil leak?Originally posted by THANIGAIMADHAVAN View PostCan anyone tell me what is the problem here...

S.. Last service bill claims that there is a repair made on said magneto junction... But.... Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Not sure what repair they did as that part can't be repaired and usually the magneto assembly itself is changed. If the bike is under warranty, I suggest you to stick with the SVC and find a solution. They can't be entirely blamed as it would take some time before the leak is evident to our eyes. What oil do you use - have you recently switched to some FS and then noticed this leak (or) it doesn't have any correlation with the oils? This seems to be a common problem in the Gixxers - many have reported it here. If the bike is not in warranty and you wish to finish the job with a local mechanic, something like this can be done:Originally posted by THANIGAIMADHAVAN View PostS.. Changing to fully synthetic can cause this problem????? Coz i changed from normal oil to motul 300v after doing 9K kms... Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Am not saying it will but it has to potential to do as a FS can seep through cervices better than a mineral/SS. But one FS might have a different chemistry from another - Suzuki might have tested the Idemitsu extensively with the Gixxers, but not all oils. Keep an eye on the oil level. You can show to the SVC one more time, if they say the only solution is replacement of the entire magneto unit, I think you can try the Anabond technique.Originally posted by THANIGAIMADHAVAN View PostChanging to fully synthetic can cause this problem????? Thanks for ur time bro.. One last question... How much does an entire magneto unit cost????Originally posted by ashwanth.r View PostAm not saying it will but it has to potential to do as a FS can seep through cervices better than a mineral/SS. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
as ashwanth said, FS oils dont cause any kind of leak. If there are cracks or crevices present ALREADY, FS oil may pass through them and appear as leaks. So in the long run you will be looking at a bigger problem than oil leaks if there are cracks.Originally posted by THANIGAIMADHAVAN View PostChanging to fully synthetic can cause this problem????? But this is actually a simple case of insufficient magneto cable head sealing. Tell them to seal it properly and teh leak should disappear. Nothing to be worried aboutLast edited by MotoBlizzard; 11-19-2017, 08:22 PM.For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hello guys, How come is it possible that same engines are giving a mileage of 50-55km , while my bike hardly reaches 40-41km. Even though after doing proper break in, on time services, doing proper gear changes while riding, no harm or overkilling of engine, 60-80 speed pattern, proper chain cleaning and lube after every 500 km , I'm unable to get to touch even 45 .... Experts please address this problem and suggest what else can be done. Thankyou.
