Did anyone used chain sprocket set of other brand of same specs from outside shop instead of the stock provided by the svc on their gixxer sf? Please give the details.
Hi guys,I want to buy my first bike.My budget is 1 Lac for the bike and 10K for the accessories (helmet, gloves, jacket).I was confused between the Naked variant with no ABS and FI and SP variant with ABS and FI (new 2017 model).Apparently the naked variant will cost me around 85K and the SP model will cost me around 1 Lac.Is the extra 20K worth it for the ABS and FI variant? I'll be using the bike for commuting to college and some occasional trips around Delhi.I might even go outside Delhi for biking with my friends.
Let me state that I'm 19 years of age and I have never ridden a bike before.I was curious to know if anybody who owns a Gixxer would teach me how to ride one for a few days.

Get the ABS FI. Its a one time investment. If you are going with the FI then remember one thing local mechanics cannot service a Fuel injection pump so you will have to stick to SVC.

Definitely go for the ABS one. Rear wheel skids somehow can be controlled (in that respect the Gixxer is a very stable bike). But, front wheel skids results in instant Wipeout. So single channel ABS is better than nothing.
Hi Guys! Need help. I own Suzuki Gixxer SF 2015 Model. Whenever I go past 85 Kmph and i feel a powerloss ( a sudden jerk ), the Speedometer goes to 80kmph then the power raises again. It happens only between 80 kmph to 90 kmph. There is no problem of powerloss before 80kmph or after 100kmph. I even complained to ASC during my service. Still that problem persists. Any suggestions?

I am facing the same issue too.. went 3 times to service centre but problem persists . The svc guy told that electric coil needs to be changed .. i am planning to change this weekend and check if the problem resolves..
Although i had many suggestions from co riders that it is carburrator or air filter problem ... i am confused. Will see this weekend
Hi i am having suzuki gixxer sf...
As i open my seat i can see the air filter
That filter has a small rubber cap on its opening...that cap is see through cap open on both side...i guess its just for noice reduction.....is it okay if i ride removing tgat small rubber cap
Thats a good deal but personally, if you ask me stick with motul chain lube and Kerosene for chain cleaning. It will cut down on long term costs. You tend to use more of teh cleaner than the lube.
