Ordered from X-Torque. Waiting for tomorrow when its done.
The new set is of Michelin - Pilot Street Radial 110/70-17 - 140/70-17 stock size.
        Total cost (front/rear)- INR 10836/- + INR 750/- fitment.

Not sure If I got a good deal but it was urgent. Will post the pics soon after.
Michelin is the best tried and tested tyre, quality tyre at a premium price and being medium compound it does it all well, mrfs are budget tyres, I think Yamaha should have offered tyre choices for their premium vehicle.

What's this video all about?? You making fun of another rider, is that all about it?? How does this video relate anywhere near the purpose of this thread?? Monk, Divya bhai, may you please advise on this video as it's nothing but an unnecessary one for this ownership thread.

I, on the contrary feel that this should stay in the thread for 2 reasons:
                        1. V-Logging is fun and since the owner has an R3, he can make really cool clips on it.
                        2. This video is however not informative about the bike or the camera. It is normal chit chat between 2 people. That's what most people usually do in traffic and it reflects our daily lives in general. And it didn't serve any purpose on this thread. So, people can take pointers on what not to do with their cams. The choice is theirs in the end.

Now, my frank opinions on the video.
                        1. Go Pro night recording quality is good.
                        2. SBK rider wasn't wearing protective clothing, but neither were you and pillion.
                        3. It doesn't take a well built guy to pick up a fallen bike. There's a proper technique to everything.
                        4. Lot of chit chat/opinionating on other people (girl like hands, should wear a belt etc) included in the video, may not be liked by all.
                        5. The motive of the video is explained at 6:47 on the clock when it should have been at 0:01. Many people would have moved to other videos by then.
                        6. Not every ignorant rider is brain dead. At least I don't cuss at everyone. It will take proper education and couple of generations at the minimum to improve our road behavior.
                        7. Did you switch off the bike with the fan still kicked in?
                        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

are you just interested in more views or views for good content i.e. related to motorcycles and the like.
just my general opinion on this trend of motovlogging.
i see a lot of these self proclaimed 'motovloggers' a lot of times take to talking ill about other riders/public (ok, those folks might break a law or two), and the video is all about calling others a squid or pointing out their shortcomings. yeh some folks would watch such videos and you will get views (similar to the crap overhyped news some news channels turn out 24/7). some of these guys(mvl's) rip at high triple digit speeds on public roads but somehow try to justify that it's normal!? Now isn't this person being a squid (whatever it means )? I don't even want to get in to the other hilarious claims some make. If someone has the b*ll* to report some illegal riding/activity/cop harassing then let them use the same set of b*ll* to go file a lawsuit in court.. but eh no we wont do it cos all we want are views and some pennies in ad revenue (if any).

My constructive feedback to you would be to create some content that would be useful to the viewers and help you learn a thing or two along the way (also educate yourself on real tech related to bikes and its mechanical aspects). Even something as simple as washing your bike or changing a cable, fuse etc.. refrain from name calling and talking ill about folks.
And one final advice to the viewers too, use a bit of common sense and don't believe that everything you see is true.. question it and try to look at the other side too.

                            Guys, need help.

anyone here using their R3 for their 100% bike rides.? especially in chennai?
whether it is easy to handle the 100% city ride? reason being iam thinking of upgrading myself from HUNK to R3. Currently iam in abroad, will be back in a couple of months. i already gave my hunk to my uncle, so once i return i will have to book a bike and get one asap. Hence i started to research few months back and i almost narrowed down to R3. Now i need some owner's input with respect to city usage. Reason being i wont be having any other smaller bikes for commuting , even for groceries i will have to take my R3. Hence i had to rely purely on R3 for everything. Performance wise i dont doubt much but how about the public attention. Grabbing attention is good, but i afraid it should not become a nuisance or even sometimes vehicle gets minor damage from some idiots ( especially scratches). i know one Audi A7 always parked near my office but one day i saw a big scratch leading from the tail to the headlight. its was such a horrible scene. iam sure it is an intentional one by some idiots.

Earlier i didnt like the fact that Yamaha gave R3 somewhat identical look as R15, but now after having the above thoughts, it might be a huge benefit in avoiding unwanted public attention.

So anyone using their R3 as the only bike inside city, especially chennai? Kindly share your inputs.

I use R3 daily whether it's city ride or highway or touring. Have done almost 7.3k kms in 6.5 months. Riding in city traffic is easy although you to take care during filtering since it's a faired bike but it doesn't heats up like duke 390 and mostly temperature is at 3 bars only. There's enough low end torque which can be used in city traffic with linear acceleration. And no way it looks like R15.

Guys wanted to share some spare parts info from long time. I had a fall on R3 few months back and i had to replace some parts, so mentioning parts price along with the condition after fall.

                                1. Left side panel (left side fairing) - it was not broken but had some scratches - ₹ 5750/-

                                2. Gear lever assembly- it was bend - ₹1100/-

                                3. Side stand - tip was bend - ₹ 800

                                4. Rear tail left side panel - not damaged just sharing costs - ₹ 600

Parts of R3 are really strong I must say nothing was broken even fairing had scratches only.

SVC ordered above parts and it took 8 days to arrive and on the 9th day it was replaced.
