Haven't checked with them specifically bhai.

Vinod (mechanic) from pacer yamaha seems to have gone for holidays since more than a month now. However there was another mechanic named Vijay who works on R3.

I'm using this grab handle for my bike from Aliexpress. Have to install the rear seat in a particular way every time to get it seated once this is fixed.
Was it plug and play or did you have to make modifications under the rear seat and the side cowls to fit this ?

I guess there will be a gap between the side cowl and rear seat. It might kinda look out of place.

I made a direct enquiry with Mr. Regu, accountant, at the RTO office Ernakulam. He confirmed that motorcycle taxes as:
                    Rs. 100000-199999 is 10%
Rs. 200000 and above is 20%

I have asked Reju at Kottayam showroom to enquire at the RTO and update on the same.

PS: Kottayam dealer must be selling an R3 or any motorcycle above 2L for the first time. So its only their lack of knowledge.

Same here in Goa , First Quote given was @15% RTO Charges which was wrong , i pointed out to them and they disagreed saying their figure was right and even showed me old Invoice of R3 Billed years ago but i then told them changes were made in 2017 by the Government and showed them original documents they said they will check back and get back but yet to do so , Sales team at Yamaha are so sloppy

Similar experience, that guy didn't call me back. He said those pricing with 10% tax was given to him by Yamaha itself. That itself is sloppy.

Got my blue R3 delivered yesterday. Man she's amazing!
                          Initial impressions:
                          1. Sounds awesome.
                          2. Good linear power delivery. Haven't crossed 5k rpm yet, but I can make out what's in store.
                          3. Heats up quite a bit, maybe because the engine is new. Have seen 4 bars at signal stops, but comes back to 3 once on the move.
                          4. Front tyre provides excellent feedback.

That's all I could make out so far. Will update on other parameters once I ride more.

                          Accessories planned:
                          1. Ceramic coating - Rs. 10k
                          2. Tank pads and tank grips. Most shops have the universal tank pads which are big for the narrow tank strip of R3. Anyone bought these specifically made for R3?
                          3. R&G tail tidy. Mostly after monsoon.
                          4. Adjustable levers.
                          5. LED indicators that fit on stock setup would be nice.

                          Tips needed:
Since I'm new to liquid cooled bikes, can you guys share some info on below points?
                          1. Do I switch off the engine at signals? Especially if the radiator fan is running?
                          2. While parking, if the fan is running and the temperature bar is at 4, should I wait for the fan to stop? Again, should I keep the engine running?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
                          Thanks.

Try not to switch off your bike when the fan is running. it's a good practice to allow the fan to run completely before turning off the engine. If the fan isn't running, depending on the signal duration, you can turn the engine off per se.

If you're going to stop the vehicle when you're off to office, malls or calling it an end of the day and what not, the bike can be switched off irrespective of fan running or bars high. Once the engine is turned off, the bike cools down eventually in 20 to 25 mins. In these circumstances, the engine isn't required to be running.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Damn those Radiator Guards are expensive in India while it retails at 4200 abroad . I think it is better to buy online or get them from other Asian countries
