Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey guys, if anyone is looking to buy a brand new R3 in Magma black, you can enquire at Hara Yamaha, Kannur, Kerala. I made the booking for this R3 and will be available in June starting since they have already ordered for the bike. I said i will help them find a buyer since I am the reason they ordered it. They said the bike is not yet shipped, but they have another booking in blue color and they can only get that order with a minimum of two vehicles of they same model. I am not sure what kind of policy they are following here.

Performance racing is a trusted site. I have ordered tank pads, radiator guard etc from them and the deals were great and they provided original parts from the respective companies. Lets gear up in HSR used to sell puig frame sliders . Not sure if they still does it. A call or a visit could help. ThanksOriginally posted by rideMachine View PostBooked blue R3 at Laxmi International Bangalore last month, Bike will be delivered by next week most probably. I have been researching about some accessories and found R&G sliders, fork protectors and some more stuffs from performanceracing.in . Wanted to check if anyone has ordered from www.performanceracing.in site and if they are reliable and have authentic products.
The links are given below:

Radiator guard : https://www.performanceracing.in/pro...714&dis_price=

Besides this, I wanted to know if there are such stores in Bangalore where I can get Yamaha R3 accessories from. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
They don't sell Puig frame sliders for Yamaha R3 anymore. I had checked with them last month. They can order if there are at least 15 people willing to buy them and the amount needs to be paid in advance.Originally posted by rideMachine View PostIvin Thanks for the information. Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Folks,
Like some of us here, I am also new to biking and need guidance and support.
I recently landed my hands on R3 and I am so so happy about it. Bought it over Ninja 300 because of the ABS and better tyres.
I have travelled close to 500+ kms on it and here is a short feedback:
1. Engine is simply Awesome. 😗😗
2. Brakes - Great for city. Okay ~okay for highway.
3. Headlights - Performs the duty well.No complaints.
4. Ergonomics - Good for short rides.
Long rides - hands, wrists and bum will pain like hell. Fortunately, the stance is not too aggressive (unlike R15) so back won't hurt. I mean, at least mine is not hurting.
5. And yes, Heating - I had a tough time during a peak summer afternoon. Had a similar experience during a summer evening as well, I was in a traffic jam. But now (in pune) it's not "that hot", so heating is not really a problem. Can't deduct any marks for heating. My bike has always stayed on 3 bars of temperature gauge, never beyond that, radiator fans often kicks in and does it's job well.
6. I am concerned about my clutch, it's too tight. Anyone else having the issue?
***Need Help on below***
1. Which is the best showroom in Pune to get there bike serviced?
2. I need crash protectors, from where should I get it, any shop in pune? If online is better, please suggest sites , brands and cost?
3. One of my colleagues (who is a KTM rider) suggested to install after market clutch and brake levers, as this clutch lever is really tight. Any thoughts on this please?
4. How important is a radiator guard?
TIA.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Won’t suggest after market clutch. And I own v3. Agree that the r15 has the aggressive stance. I don’t take it out mostly for city ride. Once you will get used to bike and as we are lazy Indians I would suggest do regular exercise to stay fit to ride high end bikes. I felt servicing good at wagholi as I have done only free servicing as of now.Originally posted by Anubhavinfy View PostHi Folks,

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You can get radiator guards on alie express, coming to heating it will improve as the engine sets in, I'm sure the heat will be more manageable than ktm. And correct me if I'm wrong the r3 is a sport tourer sort of setup it will suit longer rides more, your body hasn't it adjusted to the riding position yet as the above person has mentioned, work on your core and body strength to better control the bike.Originally posted by Anubhavinfy View PostHi Folks,

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
As per general rule, most of us use the back brake just for a support. Its designed in a way that you don't lock up the rear and slide.Originally posted by venkyonegative View PostHello Folks,
I have this gripe with my back brakes..
It doesn't have a good bite...also seems not that efficient...
Can someone shed some light and please let me know the aftermarket parts if upgraded!! Please
Most people use the braking as 75 front-25 rear and some 90 % front.
If you still want to upgrade parts, you can get Speigler, HEL, Galfer etc steel braided brake lines.

I do use Puig frame slider and I have purchased it from LGU Bengaluru. You can also try Evo works Frame sliders for R3.Last edited by royaldesigner; 05-22-2018, 07:57 PM.Ride Safe! Journey is more important than destination

I had a word with Let's gear up. You need to preorder and pay , but not for 15 numbers. Individual orders are considered.Originally posted by satish_patil View PostThey don't sell Puig frame sliders for Yamaha R3 anymore. I had checked with them last month.
