Yesterday I had done a solo ride to Kanyakumari, it's around 220kms in total. I had this pain in bum after 60+ kms. It was more pronounced on the way back and I had very much pain and it lasted for several hours after the ride. How do you people ride for such long distances? Does the road conditions also matter? Please don't suggest any expensive methods for this, like gel pads, seat cover etc. Well R3's seats are way better than the Pulsar 220's seats I had before. I had riden Ninja 300 for a very short ride but the riding comfort was a little better in it, not sure if it will be the same case after several kms. Another idea was to buy cycle shorts which has some paddings but I don't do long rides often, does that help? I think the inner wears, jeans also matters. What kind of preparations do you people do on long rides?

Hey Jacob, I did 550kms in 7 hours from delhi to lucknow and did a return trip the very next day. I didn't felt any discomfort while riding, got a bit tired due to lack of sleep may be..bother than that journey was awesome. Bike is meant for touring. Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello guys, hope you all are doing great.. I'm Nagabhushan from Bangalore. I've been a silent follower of XBHP for long now. Have been using a R15 v1 from close to 6 years now (75000 kms). Want to upgrade to R3. Visited Pacer Yamaha at Hebbal, Bangalore and was quoted Rs.3,88,657 and no waiting period. The bike is available off the shelf right away. Upon asking for a test ride, was asked to book the bike by paying 10k. Could anyone here help me with the best finance options available? The Bussan Auto Finance guy sitting in the showroom gave me the below details.
Down payment - Rs.1,50,xxx
loan amount - Rs.2,51,000
EMI - Rs.9,944 * 36 months.
Interest rate - 13.99%.
At the end of the term, i will have paid Rs.5,07,984. The processing fees is 4% of the loan amount which comes to Rs.10,800. Seems to be on higher side for me. Or, is it normal?
Are there any better options available? Whoever has opted for finance option, could you please help me if you guys know any better option?
Can't wait to get my baby.
Thanks in advance.Last edited by NAAG; 03-02-2016, 01:54 PM.

Go to the banks and finance centers directly and check the options. HDFC was offering 8-9% interest in Kochi and Trivandrum. But the people at the dealership will not provide you these options right away. They will try to loot you for commision, the more interest rate you agree, the more they get commision. Check HDFC and other banks for loan options.

Check other financial banks for loans cause you can even argue with them to lower the interest rate HDFC is a good option to check out
13.99% is a ripoff

Try "Bangalore Wheels". They quoted for Rs. 3,80,001 on-road.Originally posted by NAAG View PostHello guys, hope you all are doing great.. I'm Nagabhushan from Bangalore. Regarding finance, one of the salesman said, if I pay 1 lac advance, I would be paying the rest of the amount at 9% interest.
It might have changed since I had queried around 2 months back.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Heat dissipation is better than KTM 390s, I have rode it in extreme heavy traffic for around 20min I was comfortable with engine heat and fan works quite well. Regarding vibrations on foot pegs it's there but negligible.Originally posted by themachinehead View PostMuch has been written about vibrations from foot pegs and heat dissipation in traffic. How much of it is true?

I haven't noticed vibs on footpegs at all.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostHeat dissipation is better than KTM 390s, I have rode it in extreme heavy traffic for around 20min I was comfortable with engine heat and fan works quite well. only on handlebars and that is a fine vibration. nothing that will make you feel uncomfortable.
But after first service even that vibe is close to none.Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)

13.99% is a ripoffWell, thanks for the reply guys.. I called up HDFC and they offered at 8% flat rate. But they haven't confirmed yet. Will go ahead with the booking once they confirm. Need to get the bike before the price hike due to increased taxes in the next year budget. Also, I visited Vinayak Yamaha, where the OTR price is Rs.3,86,204. Need to visit Bangalore Wheels tomorrow.Originally posted by pulsarcraz View PostTry "Bangalore Wheels". They quoted for Rs. 3,80,001 on-road.

Upon enquiring about zero dep insurance, the showroom manager at Pacer Yamaha told he would provide 'bumper to bumper' insurance at the same rate. Insurance cost is Rs.8246. I'm not sure if he understood zero dep insurance or not. Is it the same?

Well done on inquiring and getting the best rate. I think the max years you can get is 4 years. HDFC might want to press you for passenger insurance also which I think is not required and will increase your EMI slightly. Full body insurance can be provided by the dealers itself and don't confuse it with the HDFC's insurance plan and unknowingly taking that also which happened to me.
