No.. We all have been using 91 only.
Tried 93 for a change but didn't see any improvement.

OK.I asked because in the OT it was mentioned as 93 and 91 doesn't go well with R3.

Just sold my old bike and i am in the process of buying the R3 i was searching through the R3 ownership thread and somewhere it was mentioned by 2 users that the bike shutoff and did not start again for a long time when it was hot during a city commute.
is this a common problem? can any one update me on this as i will be using this bike for daily commute as well as weekend touring.
I am going to change the tires to Perelli Angel GT, as i have used it on my old bike and found the grip to be excellent in all weather. Wanted to know if any one has a perelli on the R3.

Also is there a R3 riders group on whatsapp??

This issue was with certain R3 users who had less than 500km on the odo. We all know new bikes heat up a lot(before the first servicing). Even i used to face this when my Bike was new. Now I have almost completely forgotten that this was an issue once(After first service which i did at 600 kms on ODO). The R3 has a nice support system across the world with different forums where we all help each other. Also the aftermarket is growing day by day. And yes, the service cost is less than the competition.

BTW congrats on your decision and once you buy the R3, we will have you added to the whatsapp and Facebook group. Best of luck buddy.

This has happened to me once when the temp was 94C... Nothing to worry about. Just let the bike idle when its hot than switching it off when the temp is high.
Its better to sweat than to bleed...

I have noticed that if I keep the bike idle at default RPM the temperature can go beyond 4 bars.
But if I increase the RPM just a little bit, the temp decreases.

                        Has anyone noticed this?

Moreover, I now use the kill switch as soon as I reach a traffic stop.
If the fan is OFF, this helps keep things cool.
If the fan is ON, I keep the bike ON else it will either fail to start and take a few tries.
Switching off and starting again also helps a bit.

Anyway, these were my findings before service, after that I haven't taken it into heavy traffic but even so, I have had no problems starting the bike even from 4 heat bars. It starts just like any other electric start bike, within 1 sec.
I think I have taken a video of this. I will post it later.

                          Exactly.

Keep the bike ON if the fan is ON in b2b traffic.
Switch OFF the bike if the fan is OFF in b2b traffic.

But that is about 16% reducing which is daylight robbery. I suggest you take a loan from a government bank. That way i can tell you its about 10.5 % reducing which is a fantastic rate. Hi bro, you got a PM. Please check and advise. Thanks in advance.
