Bhavishya Jaiman - Gone are the good old days when RE was hand-built, attention given to very details, used to stay solid for generations.
Now it's just a piece of shit, Mass production and low quality materials are the main cause of the worst quality. 6 of my friends (Die hard RE fans) bought the bikes. 5 of them had to return the bike and one guy got the bike replaced (after lot of fighting). All happened withing 1-6 months of purchase. One bike had a hole in the front shock, engines issue to name few.
Another thing is that the way some people change the exhaust to give people heart attack and Rev it so hard like they are on the inline4, break the rules like they are gods and nothing will happen to them. Look down on the puny people riding other bikes. Just giving bad name to the RE culture and the biking world as a whole.
I still love the old ones. But the new ones are just pure crap.

.......Just my opinion.

Please read the owner reviews on the service center and the bikes before making the decision.

Cheers.

I also conformed with my dealer there will be no hardware updates only colour update will be there.
So simply just go for it.

I have finalised RE Himalayan(almost certain to go for it), waiting for Bajaj CS400(launch expected anytime now), otherwise Himalayan is what i am getting.

I would suggest you to hold on if your going for Himalayan !
I happened to speak to someone from RE who is a test engineer there and he suggested me to wait for at least few more months. Plus considering a new engine from RE I don't why they did not work on it, seriously ..! 2 years of RD and the bike still has issues. I happened to book mine and canceled and booked Mojo and I'm super happy and I'm sure I wont regret.
I'm sorry if I had messed up plans or thought..! just a heads up Bro

tomaish89 can you tell me about the performance of bike while cornering? Are you confident while negotiating a corner.
I am talking about normal cornering, not motogp style knee down.

No point in comparing a offroading adventure bike and a sports tourer. Both bikes come with its advantages and disadvantages and the buyer to decide which category of bike one needs to buy as per his needs, confusion arises with the confused expectations.

However one observation on all the comparisons on youtube of Himalayan and Mojo are no way honest comparisons and seem to biased of the legacy ,rather than helping decision making they further confuse a lot.

MOJO is sport tourer. you will get around 30 to 32 on Highway 25 to 28 on city.
Even 200cc bike gives same mileage (ktm and rs200).

Well, its just to early for me try those and too early for me talk about those. Since, the bikes on heavier side on the front yes you need to be little careful while you corner.

I booked with DP Motors in Tambaram Sanatorium and a guy named Vishnu helped me with the process. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything with the bike while booking it (both pros and cons). The only problem I ran into was the delivery was delayed because of logistics problems. The vehicle godown was in Vellore and they wouldn't transport just one vehicle to Chennai. Thus they were waiting for a couple of orders which took some time. In total, it took 20 days from the date of payment for me to receive the bike.

Some minor grievances but overall the experience was good. I recently interacted with a guy from 212 motors and he seemed very cool as well.

Have no idea about Vignesh Motors.

As pointed out earlier, the bike is front-heavy and turning should be done cautiously initially. However, you do get used to it. One big plus are the Pirelli tyres - they are really good. They provide ample grip even on wet surfaces.

I took out the bike on a winding road (ECR) and had no problem turning even while traveling at 100 kmph. However, if you need to knee down, it might not be possible as the footpegs and the silencer cover start to scrape (Mahindra claims this happens only beyond 42 deg tilt). And since the bike has an impressive torque, it pulls easily and you can speed out of the corner effortlessly.
