Sorry to barge in on this thread. But I am looking for some feedback on the Himalayan rear tyre ?

How is the grip in wet, slush, high speed riding, etc ?

Praful : Wet and high speed (110) it has good grip on tarmac. Slush, we will be testing it soon at Chanshal. Rather we tried locking rear wheel in gravel, it stopped in less distance.

guys just bought my RE H on 16th and did few rides on it...

the bike just feels gr8 and the tyre set up is right... did ride is dirt , slush , rain , dry... the bike is upto the mark...

              money well spent.

              but small problems like :-

              1) oil leak
              2) the windscreen starts to vibrate at the 80 km/h speed.

Excellent, thanks for the positive feedback !!

Still waiting for the tyre to hit retail outlets, it will be a near perfect replacement for my Michelin Sirac 120/90-17 which I've been dragging for the last 3 years.

Himalayan has tube tyre. Aint sirac tubeless? (guessing)

Also the only issue is there is no other option for Himalayan available because of the rim size

Actually the Sirac is branded as a TT tyre, but I've been using it as TL all these years without a issue.

Will see if I can use the CEAT as TL, depends on the beading on the tyre. If not will switch to TT. I need that specific tyre size more than TT or TL.

Even if I can, you will not not be able to because you are running spoked wheels.

Get all the screws and bolts tightened. That will solve both the issues.

Got my Himalayan today from Bangalore and its a beauty.

So far so good, but one thing which is very obvious with this bike is the gear shift from 1-N-2. Thaat shifting is very hard. The clutch seems ok, but the gear shift is really hard.

                              Any solutions?
