Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan
Congrats buddy! Don't worry about the hard gear shift. It will get smoother after the first service and much easier as you cover more kilometres.Originally posted by invincible49 View PostGot my Himalayan today from Bangalore and its a beauty.
So far so good, but one thing which is very obvious with this bike is the gear shift from 1-N-2. Thaat shifting is very hard. The clutch seems ok, but the gear shift is really hard.
Any solutions?

Nagpur RE dealers too had a Offroad event for Himalayan. Following are few pictures. All the bikes had received the new camshaft and gearshaft thingy. Had ridden the TR bike earlier. This time it felt much better. No knocking and smooth gear shifts. Neutral finding was easy too. Most of the bikes had 2k to 3k odo reading. One life to ride....

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan
RE is working really hard for Himalayan. This is probably their first effort to sell a bike. And then know Bajaj/Ktm will sooner or later come with an Adventure tourer. So they want to be prepared for it. I am in love with this bike. The showroom owner is a club mate so we got real good test rides for it. Offroad and highway both. My club member have booked 6 Himalayans. Planning to get them on same day. Waiting for the second lot of bikes. 3 Granites nd 3 SnowsOne life to ride....

Yeah, I see they're working hard towards promoting, marketing and selling the Himalayan.
Right from keeping in mind the customer and utility of the bike from the inception, easy test rides, and the (hopefully) new improved batch of bikes..
I just hope this one sells and sells lots. Just like how I hoped with the Hero Impulse.
Also, there maybe an Adventure version from BMW/TVS based on the new BMW 310
