Heard they will be replacing the camshafts for all the bikes. And also gear shift indicator sensor.

        • Recently did manali chandratal on the Himalayan, bad roads are sugar for this bike, it just loves to eat more and more. I just took position and it make the journey more beautiful.
Cons for touring are seat and heating issue. The actual temperature was 7-8 degrees and it was showing 28, will take it to the workshop for the issues.

Received a call from the service center this morning. The bugger was reluctant to call it a recall. But my Himalayan is in my stupid brother's custody for last 10 days in Rishikesh, who crossed Rajaji National Park at midnight yesterday. What a fool 😡

Anyways, I'll be taking my bike to the SC this Saturday with hopes of returning minus all the niggles.

How did it perform on the water crossings? Esp in comparison to other bullets, in case you've ridden any on such terrain. I had done a spiti leh ride last year on my C500 and water crossings were a bane.

Hey Prateek, how did it go? Did they change the parts? Did it solve the problems?

Water crossing is quite fun on it, just aim and shoot and it does not miss its mark. We had 2 tbirds and a c500 and all of them were complaining and falling

Great! All free of cost or did they count it as a free service from your service manual? What about the engine clatter?

People have taken activa and splendors to Himalayas too. It's more man than machine that counts.

It's a great sign that clatter noise is reducing. Can you throw some light upon the mileage developments?
