So what is it folks? Any of you try this? And even if you didn't, would you care to share your opinion for such a change?
On the stock rims, possibly not. Though @rideon74 has used Seelin compound in his tires, perhaps he can comment on the same. You can either get yourself aftermarket rims that are TL compatible and oversizing would be a better option. HDT customs the guy behind it is Hemant Darbar, helps procure Aluminum rims and Pirelli tires, perhaps he's the best guy to answer on this one. Not to mention the ones sold abroad come with Pirelli MT 60s.

The one Hemanth customized uses Pirelli Scorption STR, a pair would set back 1/4th of the Himalayan's cost. 20k

Thanks for the info! Curious why you think up-sizing would be better though? Aesthetics or some other benefits as well?

Upsizing on the rear would mean better grip, the overall patch of the tire increases w.r.t to the size of the tire used. A wider tire would help in stability of the vehicle especially when loaded up. Downsides would be affected mileage, the vehicle would get taller to an extent depending on the sidewall measurement. Overall personally, the rear tire size for the Himalayan is perfectly kept in combination with the bike's power and weight handling characteristics.

            Cheers!

If you have a Himalayan, you can measure it yourself, by measuring Dia or by measuring circumference to calculate Dia.

If you're looking for an exhaust for the Himalayan. The diameter differs for the old and the newer BS IV exhaust at the muffler end.

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. Looking forward to have a great learning ahead.
I have recently booked my Himalayan. This would be my first bike. Should get delivery by Diwali. Please if current owners can clarify the following:
1). Where can I find the PDI checklist for REH? It wasn't there in the online user manual on RE's site.
2). How to determine the month and year of manufacture?
3). Any key points to keep in mind while taking delivery?

Thanks in advance for your valuable responses.

2500 Kms done . No issues as of now. I did Chandigarh to Badrinath to and fro in 2 days. The bike took the bad patches and all the abuse that roads had to offer with ease.
Sharing some snaps I took along the way.
