REQUESTING you to upload future advisories if possible...
It's about time they got serious. They just overtook TVS to become the 4th largest bike manufacturer in India. I hope good times are on their way. [emoji111]

I am not sure whether it has been put in all SC's or not. As I have not seen with my eyes. But yes, they are replacing those parts. I am waiting for the clutch assembly to come to get mine replaced. Will get the other parts checked to see if they need a replacement - especially the stator coil.(don't really want my bike to stop in middle of road).
I read about the clutch assembly being replaced somewhere on this thread. Someone did mention certain issues regarding the starter motor coil. It was mentioned that bikes made before January 2017 can have these issues.

I asked the service manager and the technician at Solitare Automotive, Sector 63, Noida about these but they denied their existence on my bike. They stated that it is totally trouble-free and those issues are on the older lot.

However, they showed me a Himalayan(snow) that was in the showroom and claimed that it has those issues, like hard clutch and a possible faulty starter motor as it is an old bike. I saw the serial number and it turned out to be from December 2017, the same as my bike. [emoji15] [emoji58]

I am noticing a lot of parts on the bike where rusting and corrosion is taking place. Nuts and bolts are the most affected parts, even the washer on the horn has rusted completely. The frame for the jerry cans on the right has been replaced as it was damaged by the Road Side Assistance, but it also shows the high probability of rusting.

Now this is one place where you seriously don't want to see any rust. Especially when your bike is a little over a month old and built to tackle the great outdoors.[emoji58]

The bike has done 1100kms so far.

My concern is that how can I identify a faulty starter motor coil, if my bike has one. Or you will know it, only when it is too late? There is a buzzing vibration above 4500 rpm, can that be the case of cylinder head valve rubbing? Also, what is the T-stem?

    Cheers and regards,
    Safe riding![emoji111]

Ajeet, get those rusted parts replaced or touched up and don't wash the bike everyday. There is no batch that is published for Starter motor coil so don't stress on it. T stem connects the handlebar to the tube.

I don't wash it everyday. I'm lazy and always in a hurry to reach office or home. [emoji23]I wipe it with a microfiber cloth everyday and wet wipe it once a week.

But still, this is not what you expect from an "Adventure motorcycle" that is supposed to get drenched, soaked by water and caked in mud. And that too in a month only.

Thanks for the information regarding the T-stem. [emoji4]

Edit: Me and my brother are not going to do any mods that will void the warranty, because of which we will be able to get replacements for any rusted parts. That is why only the official exhaust and crash protector.[emoji12]

Mine is a November one. I find the gear shifting to be hard, showed it to SC asked him his view, he said it's hard. He said he will look into it. When I got it back, it was better but still hard, then he himself said will order a clutch assembly. Let's change and see if it becomes smoother. There is a dearth of stock as most of the H's are getting it changed. Hence the delay.

Starter motor coil? The new ones have a rating/number on them - 43/16 or 45/16, 45 one is the latest - Get the latest one. Even I don't face any problem as such, but one of the guys in Bangalore had done 15K kms, and then one day his coil went off. He had to push start. I am not sure if you want that. No harm it getting the T-stem and coil checked when giving for service or whenever you give your bike to SC. Better to be sure. I agree that at 4.5K it vibrates, but when I when past that, there was no vibration. No clue why Probably at 4.5K rpm, it produces the maximum torque? or could be the reason you stated?

But the rust part of your machine. That is sad and bad. I don't have a solution for it. Probably senior and experienced guys over here can share what can be done.

                Peace

They have already told in point number 2. change magneto coil proactively, I will suggest you go to a svc and get it changed, from my experience it is impossible to push start motorcycle when alone. I had this engine cut off issue 3 times and 3rd time it even refused to push start, after the change everything is fine, faulty magneto coils are blackish in color but new ones are redish/brown.

Rusting? On a Royal Enfield motorcycle? That's never been heard of before.

C'mon its a feature. Don't take it away from RE.

                    Regards.

Yeah push starting is very tough and the tall seat makes it all the more amusing to the crowd of onlookers when you fail to mount it and fall down.

Push start it? No thank you![emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

What issues were you facing with the bike? How was it behaving during ignition and while riding?
