Hey I recently did a test drive of int650. Sold on this bike with all hands down. But which is a pretty big but for me is the usage. This bike is to burn rubber and for those people who likes to show their tail to all on the highway. Himalayan on the other hand has the tremendous touring capability. Moreover off roads. Think of scenario - you want to go to Himalayas or any such terrain, no wonder int650 will perform but Himalayan will beat her in terms of practicality like carrying luggage and a happy pillion.

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan
There’s a simple reason to seriously consider the Himalayan over the Twins in a country like ours: there’s so much to explore & most of it lies off the highways.
What most Himalayan owners agree upon is how much freedom the bike gives us to get off the highways at a whim, head across whatever the terrain throws at us or to put it in a nutshell: to pick a direction & just go.
The twins will definitely offer their kind of fun too, but restricted to a smaller domain.
Explorative/adventure touring demands the right kind of chassis design, suspension setup & balanced power/torque/efficiency figures. And then, there’s luggage support that must be taken care of too.
The Himalayan is not perfect, yes..but she’ll see you through - without overwhelming you with lofty demands of riding expertise.
And that’s why she’s a ride apart.- When Life throws you a curve, Lean into it! -

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan
Asking for a 6th gear is one of the pointless things I've seen. I don't know where it started but once a bike has 5 gears, people start attacking it, telling it has only 5 gears. The 5th gear of a bike may be taller than a 6th gear of another bike (FZ25 and NS200) though there are many other many other factors (like power and rev limit) affecting topspeed. But most of the bikes above 150cc have a top gear tall enough to allow comfortable cruising at 80+ speeds.Originally posted by rideon74 View PostI’d be happy with a sixth gear in the current setup actually [emoji3]
For what you said – a taller top gear, a simple solution will be a sprocket switch – either a bigger front or a small rear.Last edited by ayrus; 12-27-2018, 11:21 PM.

A good read, perhaps.

The girl said, 'NO!'

If you say so, Sir. Whatever allows the present Himalayan to feel less strained while doing those long highway stretches at the frequently used 100kmph.Originally posted by ayrus View PostAsking for a 6th gear is one of the pointless things I've seen. Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan
I'm really sorry mate. What I meant was that motorcycles with 5 gears usually have the top gear ratio closer to the top gear ratio of a 6 gear bike. Of course, some motorcycles do feel like they have some power to allow for an extra gear or a bit strained at cruising speeds in top gear so someone would like an extra gear.Originally posted by rideon74 View PostIf you say so, Sir. The first paragraph was not targeted at you. What I wanted to tell you, was a sprocket mod would have made the bike feel more relaxed at cruising speeds, which is almost the same as having a 6th gear for the purpose of cruising. Of course, I do agree that there is a difference between the two.
I'm just someone trying to learn and help as much as I can from this forum.
Again, I'm sorry for I was a bit rude in my previous post.

Re: Royal Enfield Himalayan
Oh please! No offence taken at all - I found the sprocket change a bit iffy when I’d thought about the physics behind it a while back. But then, I can’t comment on it until I’ve tried the switch over personally. Cheers!Originally posted by ayrus View PostI'm just someone trying to learn and help as much as I can from this forum.

Use ayami tube tyre liquid sealant or use outex to make it tubeless. I've no idea whether it's permanent or not! You can try [emoji106]Originally posted by metalmad View PostHey there! Is there any permanent and reliable solution to do the tyres tubeless??
