Thing is I do not live in mumbai, I live in vashi.
    Still they quoted me 109246.
    Plus 5K for early delivery
Plus 2.5K for RTO jugad for address.
I only have address proof of my hometown ie parbhani (I know nobody knows where it is)
Btw my hometown is 500km from vashi, and I rode my unicorn last sunday there in around 11 hours.
So wouldn't be a big deal for me, just buying there and riding it back here.
Would complete run in one go...

I know where is parbhani if you go few posts back, sohil has bought on cash basis from abhishek tvs. Check with them also. As you will save on 5 k for early delivery. Only RTO jugaad has to be paid I guess.

And regarding the top speed. There was another guy who had bought rtr 200 recently. I asked him about top speed and he told his had 75+ kmph at the time of delivery.

My bike was among the lot that had arrived from factory and the manufacturing date of the bike is May 21st 2016. So I'm not sure if it was used as test ride bike or its actually true that they test the bikes on belt.
Dont worry about that, When I bought my RTR in 2009, it had already done 95 kmph and 35 km on Odo. nothing happened to the engine untill 60K kms, when I sold it off.
I had even touched 100 kmph 3-4 times before 1st svc.

        And congrats for your possession.

2500 for registration (RTO jugaad)!!?? 😲 If you have time, please check with an agent for registration. It doesn't cost that much. To be honest, I don't know how it works there.

Thank you. It's not okay to ride on TC number plate. I can manage to ride around in Bandra, I guess. RTO work will be taken care of by the showroom people.
What timeframe , dealer has told you about the RTO registration? I have been told 15-20 days and that too only for passing. Number will come later on. He also mentioned that the vehicle needs to be taken to RTO for passing and if dealer has to do it then i need to pay rider charges.

So I've done some major jugaad.

Booked the bike from Abhishek TVS, opted for a loan. Was told it'll take a week for that to process and then I can pick up the bike on TC number. Post that the papers will go for registration and I can get a number.

I've paid them in cash the next day and picked up the bike. Booked a VIP number so have put that number on my bike and been riding around. They will get the procedure done from their end and will let me know. No extra costs. Once my loan is cleared, which should be in a couple of days, my cash will be returned.

If you're paying in cash, just take the money and go, pick up the bike and come home. Call up their showroom and ask for Sakshi Ma'am and tell her how pumped you are about it. I hope she sorts you out.

TVS Motor has officially launched the much awaited variant of Apache 200. New TVS Apache 200 FI variant is priced from Rs 1.07 lakh.

Fi variant of rtr 200 launch delayed to December 😒

It's a negative marketing by TVS. They are exporting all fi+abs and not in India even the normal carburated bike is not widely available. That's bad from TVS. Once Bajaj NS gets relaunched buyers will shift to bajaj as that will be widely available and rtr will have still waiting period. Plus no proper marketing of this new bike also. Company is just spoiling a very good product.

                    Yes i do agree ,
as in other countries apache 200 is sold with only prellis tyres & also the batman style rear end bar comes in the different color.

i guess in our country if apache 200 is sold with prellis only then it might have attracted more number of buyers,

as an indian company tvs should offer more features to our indian customers with priority, then the others,
(but i guess in india less the cost higher the market buzz)

                    that can be the reason

Yep. Especially if you look at the fact that Bajaj now doesnt have a modern carb 200cc bike for sale (not counting the p220) it would have been a great time to make the rtr200 available in carb version and take advantage of this. For the fi+abs they could have actually undercut the competition price (for Rs200 single channel abs) while giving better equipment (dual channel abs) and being the only ones to do so in the premium commuter segment. Its a win win situation as far as I can see it.But I guess the boffins at TVS know more about this than we do and are probably thinking of aggressively expanding internationally (at the expense of ignoring the Indian market) will net them more gains in the future. Sad situation for a bike that enjoys a special place in the hearts of many biking enthusiasts in India.

I must say I am surprised that you know where parbhani is.
I almost every time have hard time explaining the location.
Well if I buy in mumbai I would be unnecessarily paying 5k octroi.
In parbhani matte red and matte black is available right away.
Still waiting to take a test ride for AS200, don't think any showroom would be open tomorrow.
Would have to take a day off I guess.

                          Morning ride!!
So this was my 1st top speed run.. though i was short shifting all the time around 6.5 to 7k rpm... I think if i shift gears around 10k rpm then i can achieve 140+... & Also i noticed that 132 was on 9k rpm & it can go all the way upto 11k rpm easily.. so 140 is not a big deal for this beauty!!

                          Ride hard ride safe!!

That display is beautiful. I've been noticing it ever since I saw the bike for the first time. It's so crisp and clear even in daylight. I love it.

Seriously I'm so frustrated waiting and waiting from last year. Again need to wait till December end!
Indonesia is the main market in terms of bike launches. They get all the models.
I really hope they don't launch the Akula 310. Otherwise that also might eat into the production space of the 200, and they won't be able to pump out bikes in large numbers.
The advantage of TVS, Bajaj and all were that, one could easily get bikes in a matter of few days after booking.
But now, TVS is acting like Royal Enfield, so much waiting time for bikes.
Had told all my friends and family that a new bike will come soon. but this "soon" isn't coming soon enough.!
I'm gonna change the front tire of my RTR160 and continue riding it.
No choice, will have to wait till December. Because I know, if I go for a Hornet or Gixxer now, I'm gonna regret the decision next year when the 200 with ABS comes out !
