Hi , has anyone used bolt charger without cutting wires, can we just give direct connection to battery without hampering ECU?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Last day while turning on ignition of my bike dominar ugOriginally posted by Tushark View PostHello all,
I was getting my dominar ready for trip, so was connecting bolt charger to battery,
I connected the -ve first and then +ive, the one with red cover. However had sparks at +ive terminal, I had not noticed that the ignition was on. However I turned it off and connected the +ive first and then -ive and everything went well.
After I turned on the ignition the display showed some errors , I could not really read them as it was quite fast and the trip meter and clock had reset.
I this a normal behaviour that the reset happened.
Charger works fine, bike rides fine. But just asking for confirmation.
Some unusual numbers were displayed on the screen
Both the trip meter got reseted
I havent noticed any more problems till now
Is this incident needed to be taken in concern?

Check all the fuses and tighten the battery connections and if it repeats then get it checked out.Originally posted by Domigreen View PostLast day while turning on ignition of my bike dominar ug

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi, I bought in December , when I asked the showroom about the bs6 version, bs6 itself is a major update, they arent expecting anything on technical front. However the cost will be higher , consumer as such will not feel much of a difference in bs4 and 6 other then pollutant coming down. If you are ok with wait time then sure go for newer version. As far as I know the production of bs4 was to stop pretty soon. Hope this helps.Originally posted by hd_hardikdesai View PostI just need some advice as i have finally narrowed down to dominar 400 but there's an update coming ie. BS6 soo should i wait or just go ahead and book it? Any leaks regarding the new features that would be coming?

Are you using any electronic accessories? It happens in 2019 Model if we install Hazard flasher or any other electronic accessories. I'm using Simtac Hazzard Flasher after this i'm getting the error code now and then and the trip meter resets.Originally posted by Domigreen View PostLast day while turning on ignition of my bike dominar ug

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I am thinking of getting a pre-owned Dominar 400 ABS 2017, with 15-20k clocked.
Couple of questions for long time owners:
1) Any specific common issued faced by 2017 models?
2) Vibrations? I had ridden a friend's Dominar which had noticeable vibes, though the bike wasn't maintained properly I believe. Your inputs?
3) Service quality and cost. I hear bad reviews about Bajaj's parts quality and service. I'd be happy to be proven wrong. This is the only thing that's making me reluctant.
Coming from an RE, the last thing I want is to end up with a bike full of issues which never end.
Thank you all in advance!

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Always keep in mind, when you buy a used dominar, keep some extra money to get it thoroughly serviced.
Bikes are being used very well & Trashed aswell, being a low priced 400 cc,makes it an easy buy.

None as in common.
2) Vibrations? I had ridden a friend's Dominar which had noticeable vibes, though the bike wasn't maintained properly I believe. Your inputs?
Coming from RE, should not bother about vibrations. I am 100% sure.
3) Service quality and cost. I hear bad reviews about Bajaj's parts quality and service. I'd be happy to be proven wrong. This is the only thing that's making me reluctant.
Finish the Bajaj free services, clear the warranty, then leave it at some good service centre.

I do not have anything installed on my 2019D400. Its just stock bike and still I get error codes every now and then in the console and trips reset!
Its the console s/w which is buggy and nothing to do with the Simtac flasher installation or anything.

2) Check if the previous owner has installed the "Free anti-vibration kit" from service center, it was given out and installed free of cost to all Dominars, it should/will reduce most minor vibrations significantly
If it was not installed, then get it installed through SVC by previous owner before buying, as warranty will not be carried forwarded to 2nd owner.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

[QUOTE=DoubleO7;1386167]This happened with me as well after 1st service for few days. Now, it's normal and no hexadecimal code is displayed with turning on. Must be some bugs in software.Originally posted by Gnayak View PostAre you using any electronic accessories? It happens in 2019 Model if we install Hazard flasher or any other electronic accessories.
