Thorn, couldn't find the setting via the app to remove the pics, tried to to though. And one liner or 10 liner is irrelevant.

hello, i did a 120km ride with 80km speed at a strecth i did face one or two issue. one is i think the place where white radium is there which divides the lane. when i was switching the lane found that at white radium thing bike was like kind of sliping at that moment at that place i could not stop on that high way and rectify the lane switch radium ( white strip). was crusing around 90 at 5000rpm. Tried to have a look with 3 gear reving till end to see tge redline of rpm and found that redline of rpm starts from 8500 ( might be updated ECU) and it goes more till 9000around but redline starts at 8.5. bike. i felt bike was gliding and floating in the air kind of situation at speed of 100 and my rpm was 5500 it was a scarry situation but again i tried on different highways ahead then it was fine. bike odo clocked at 477km and spanner tool kind of logo in display started poping is that a service logo ? as showroom person told me bike service time comes from 500-700km around , do any one faced this situation in highway?
      Thanks.

I am really surprised to hear that D400 (An 182kg beast) is gliding and floating at speed of 80kmph. I have touched 600km on ODO today and I did few 100kmph speed on highways, never felt that bike was "Gliding or floating" I always felt that bike is very stable even at that speed. Wanted to try more speed but kept it under 80 always due to run-in period.

We should really write to Bajaj regarding the fuel level sensor, its the crappiest I had ever come across in a vehicle. It updates only when the ignition is switched off and on. I feel it can be corrected via a programming update.

You clearly haven't seen the one in Thunderbird.

(Sorry for the OT, couldn't resist.)

Not mine bro. Got from a whatsapp group.

This tyre must be Michelin pilot road 2, if yes then it would cost above 14,000 I think.

My friend uses a 120 section Michelin pilot road 2 on his RS200 front rim, it costs him around 9,000.

I got the bike serviced last week. The guys at service center told me that they have flashed the program when asked about fuel sensor. But it did not work atleast in my case. I will be visiting the service center next week and i hope they will provide a solution.

Michelin pilot 2 street radial? If so, how is it performing?

190 section too wide for the bike must be creating lot of drag and drop in performance. It is always advised to stick to the stock size while changing the tyre or one size up only.

And fuel sensor issue can be related to gauge inside the tanks try getting it replaced under warranty.

Is there any ECU or EFI Programme update in First service ?
Service engineer in bajaj told that "there is no ECU/EFI update at first service .Only Engine oil,oil filter, silencer gasket, coolent oil will be changed .
Update required , if incase vehicle which miss the update before PDI i.e vehicle delivery ! Is that true ?

If your bike is from the freshest lot than no need. But first few lots do have a update for ecu i got one at first service mine is the very first lot bike.
Easiest way to check this by starting the bike and revv it on idle and if the rpm cuts at 8.5k rpm means the resd light glows at 8.5 k rpm and it came down from above 8.5k to 8.5k than it means that the ecu is already updated. But if it goes till 9.5k rpm or more before light comes or it cuts down than u need and update.

Mileage, pickup, Sprocket life will be affected due to that wide tyre.

If the fuel sensor is the issue it shouldn't update at all or should show wrong reading. It reads perfectly but only when the ignition switched on and off it updates on the display. I believe the programming is bad, it might be set to read as the ignition is switched on and not at regular intervals or so..
