Do not think there is any need to add more. For me Power is useless if i cannot use it & what ever is available , can be used safely without any strain on man & machine both at same time.
    Hi Sushil,

I partly agree with you. I feel having power in reserve even if its not being used is an advantage. Not trying to justify any misplaced sense of ego but a bike which tops out at say 125 kmph will be far more strained (engine vibes, overheating, wear and tear, etc.) at the highway cruising speed I mentioned than one which tops out at 150 kmph.

Hence having that flexibility/power actually reduces the strain on man and machine.

80 to 100 kmph. If the road is an excellent 4/6 laned one like Vadodara - Ahmedabad or Bangalore - Krishnagiri - Ranipet or Belagavi - Dharwad, perhaps 100 kmph continuously. I am comfortable in this range and have the confidence of controlling the bike in case of a sudden pothole/unmarked hump/jumping animal/pedestrian in the front. Many times, I have done 120 kmph on my Thunderbird 500 too on excellent short stretches, but only in the crouching position with some nervousness.

Bikes like Fz25 , duke200 and 200ns will be agile and fun (perfect city commuter) but these bikes shakes on cross winds.

Fz will be more of a city bike.

        Cheers.
Absolutely agree. I think 250cc with abs is the perfect power commuter not a highway cruiser. I don't think a 250 cc by itself needs abs but tankers spill water, occasional pipe bursts and with idiot drivers, it's better to have them not. I use the word power with Indian traffic in context. I use a 60% calculation. 60% of max speed is the all day no problem cruising speed. With Dominar, that is approx 85 which is perfect for highway.
With Dominar, I have zipped thru traffic even with a pillion.
        No replacement for displacement.

I agree with those who vote that triple digits on Indian roads is not safe. There are enough dogs, potholes and aholes to outwit any skills that i possess.

There is no safe speed on Indian roads. Either you pluck somebody in front coz you're going too fast, you somebody plucks you in the rear because you're going too slow.

I've had multiple near-misses with cars when doing 80 kmph. They overtake on the left, right, wherever they get space. 2 lane or 6 lane, there will always be that special person who is sent to kill you.

I've been rear ended at a traffic signal twice because I didn't hit the gas hard enough.

Acceleration and evasion is a bikers tool to survive on any road.

If you ride a Dominar at 100kmph, and say this then I agree.
If you ride Hayabusa at 100kmph then say this , it won't make any sense.

I wouldnt ride a Hayabusa above that on public roads. Definitely on a track but not on a highway. But thats just me.

                  ****ing truth 👍👍

I was doing 60Kmph and was in ICU for 3 days, yeah a Joker stepped on to Accelerator instead of brakes on a JAZZ, bam head ON!
Now no motorcycle for one year as suggested by Dr.

If you love riding you must ride you will ride...
if you want to be safe, DON'T RIDE A MOTORBIKE.

                  cheers!

You will have hard time with that bike around corners.

Sad to hear bro. 60 kph is not a high speed and is highly unsafe means, where do we live?. Freaking car drivers.
Last time, a girl stepped back on road without watching or listening to my dual horns (NS) and I did a wheel locking stop, but ended up hitting her and she was thrown few several fee far. By god's grace, she walked up and scolded me and left.... Uff... It took me whole night to recover from that small incident.

                          Hope you are recovering.

You can see the RS200 thread, the present RS thread cover photo itself is the damaged jazz after crash.
