What do you guys think about it.

I am really impressed about the power delivery of dominar. I rode it like ~40 Kms

Went to pioneer Bajaj at Trivanrum Kerala. Made a pretty bad impression.

Now plan is to approch Deedi Bajaj and do the booking.
As far as I know, bykes are ready available.

After going through this thread I am confused, regarding the ECU settings in different lots
Which is better?? first lot or second.
Both are same brother AFAIK ecu is not updated at factory level even in second lot it is done at service or at time for delivery. You can buy it safely it is a best vfm thing on two wheels.
And i also see bajaj succeeding in pulling Re
Customers towards D400. I my self had owned 2 res and had a avenger before D400 and even that little avvy is better than you know what.

Currently own Rs200 had a major crash recently.

RS200 is quite refined bike, and heard Dominar is viby than RS from many people.

I ride around 60kmph so the bike must be smooth at those speed.

IamAditya brother it is very refined for its capacity and to have better refinement from a larger cc engine we need to have more than one cylinder.
The fact is you can do 75kmph in 6th all day without feeling the buzz.

Teflon coating in my opinion is a waste of money.
Engraved number plates? You get IND board like embossed plates for 450Rs in the market.

Regarding horn, if you dont tamper the wire while fixing horn, warranty can be claimed by removing the horn. So it can be done pretty easily.
Sorry, I haven't seen what kind of kit they are offering.. But as you said, I don't think I have to worry about it anyway..

Thanks

And in my personal opinion oe horn is sufficient enough, but if u really need to change it try hella red grill or roots u dont need to cut any wires for it .
Before delivery check all electricals for proper working, check the rims for any dents or paint chip, check the break disk of any dents or bumps, have td see if the bike feel all ok, apply breaks, check the paint for any scratches or uneven shade , check under the seat for any lose connectors, check and make sure that battery is in good power and is connected properly as it is the issue faced by many open the tanks cap and have peek inside.
Thanks buddy

Hello Everyone,
Been following this thread since Jan when wolverine started it & it was just 4 pages old. ☺️
This was the thread to finally help make up my mind to move from my TBTS 500 to D400 (as rightly said by Ijs bro, Bajaj is definitely succeeding in it's strategy)..
So now my D400 is 4 weeks old & 1st servicing done already.. I'm totally smitten with the performance..I mean who wouldn't be when you get the perfect match of power, styling & mature performance..some questions that I do have for everyone..
1. Has anyone noticed any drastic improvement in the FE post the 1st service? Not trying to jinx it but mine seems to have been upped by more than 10% for within city conditions (highway efficiency was great even earlier..Recorded 38.3 on a 200km ride)
2. The clunkiness of gear shifts is still there in the 1st gear but it has reduced or maybe I'm slowly finding the right spot w.r.t the slack in the clutch while upshifting 😝 please enlighten if there is a consensus on the sweet spot of the clutch slack
3. Has anybody tried anything about the thud sound from the pillion seat by using any aftermarket or jugaad as it is very jarring in a new ride
Please excuse if the post is long & boring as I'm a noob 😝

Wat do you mean? When do you hear it?
All I hear is the loose wiring components making rattling noise under the pillow seat. It's annoying though.

Whenever you go over a pothole, either the wiring or the toolkit, makes such a loud noise that I got terribly frightened & went over to the showroom to get it checked..the mechanic said that it's the toolkit..so looking for a way to dampen or remove it altogether

Horn fixed. Thanks for the guidance wolverine. [emoji106]🏼

And guys, the bottom clamp in the radiator is flimsy and I managed to bend it slightly due to my negligence. Bajaj's quality speaks once again. So be careful while fixing horn. I'm not quite satisfied the upper horn ahead of the radiator as it may damage the radiator if hit. So this is a temp fix. I'll make a proper clamp from my renowned mechanic when I visit chennai.

Toolkit is supposed to be strapped to the seat and that shouldn't make any noise. It's just the wires and connectors making noise. I'm planning to wrap all the connectors with a rubber tube cut from tyre tube. Will post update once done. As of now placed a microfiber cleaning glove in the glove box so that it doesn't shake much over pot holes. But still at times I hear the noise.
