You won't be thrown off with an ABS fitted motorcycle, for the most part. You people grabbing from 100+ plus kays and the bike absolutely screeches yet comes to a halt without fuss. If it were the case with normal motorcycle yes, would would be thrown off in no time.

Just because it has a sensor at the rear doesn't mean it has an RLP. Let me explain in little details how it works. Say for example, with the RS 200 single channel abs WITHOUT a rear wheel sensor, the ABS should be totally useless. How will the ABS ECU know if the wheel is locked if only the front wheel had the sensor? Let me take your example, 100 KMPH panic brake, front wheel locks, how will the countermeasure of unlocking the wheel will be done by the hydraulic unit if the only wheel with the sensor is locked without having other input to know that the bike is actually moving? That is where the rear wheel comes, see here is how it works; you panic brake, front locks the rear keeps spinning, ECU detects front wheel is locked since the rear wheel is moving more than the front, and instantly reduces the front brake pressure. You got the point now? RLP is just using additional gyro sensor with the ABS unit and also the gyro sensor will check if the bike is in level with the ground and not imbalanced.

So, in short there isn't a dedicated RLP gyro as such, it's just the plain way how ABS works. This is how all ABS works. You can do a stoppie in an RS less than the ABS sensor actuation speed, in case of the RS 200 it's 6 KMPH or 10 KMPH I guess you can try that, and the bike would stoppie with no problems. Go above 6 and 10 and try doing a wheelie, you'd know it'd be pretty much difficult, because it's the humble ABS doing its work.

Cheers!

I hope you have gone through the link i had shared.
May be am wrong, but from what i have heard and read, RLP is not an additional feature(yes gyro sensors and all included), its a part of an ABS unit, only the TVS are advertising it as an extra feature.

Cheers.

Yes, TVS might have included a gyro sensor which are like 6 8 or 10 inertial axis measurement like the ones used for higher end bikes. You can be rest assured the gyro sensors as such are not present in the RS 200. It's simple logic as to how an ABS works. Don't stress it too much. Even the article you've quoted says "it might be" Take these articles with a pinch of salt.

Trust me, I have some very reliable sources to confirm on the RS 200. It's the ABS light version, all ABS motorcycles inherently have a sort of RLP but technically it's just the improved dead time which means faster sensor inputs, not the complicated gyro sensor or nothing fancy. With a gyro the body position of the vehicle, pitch is measured.. well, I can go on and on.. Let me stop at that.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

RLP or no RPL, GYRO no GYRO, simple fact is ABS is important for modern days bikes.
Tvs is advertising gyro and all but heck why still no RTR 200 with Abs even after more than a year of launch.

Guys we all appreciate your enthusiasm over ABS and all. .. But why discuss RTR 200 here.??[emoji38] [emoji23]

Ijs bhai...I have biological abs as I use my foot and fingers to modulate brake pressure..lol...trust me I never got my wheels locked.

ECU can detect front wheel lock with only front sensor, as deceleration of wheel speed is much more than known threshold in that case. By your logic if both front and rear wheels lock at the same time then ECU wont know that wheels are locked. Single channel abs is less efficient in higher speeds, but it is as good as dual channel at speeds below 40kph when front wheel takes all the weight of the bike during braking.

Hmm... Good for you. With ecu reset, i am expecting better average.will check now. Also not the most fuel efficient of rides...staying ahead of traffic has its downsides

Reset of ECU as stated by someone is not exactly a reset. It won't erase or modify any settings in the ECU.

With due respect I really don't feel that the process mentioned by that person works. Maybe the cache data if any are cleared.

People how have done this ECU settings may throw some light.

Below is the video on ECU reset:

This process is to eliminate the throttle lag, jerks, and missing feel in fueling which started coming after the ecu updated given by the company. This proce...

Disconnect both battery terminals for 20 min. Then reconnect and idle for 5 min. Riding characteristics have changed especially for the lower gears. I have been told that this resets ecu from the first service update which restricted high rpm.
After first service, I did notice a 6000 rpm rev limit but hard to say since i was riding at 115 kmph . Don't care much for revving more than that.
