I want to know more about this. Why does this happen? It's happening for RS 200 as well 2017 version of it (one of the members had this issue).Originally posted by Ijs View Post

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Don't know brother but it can happen with any bike irrespective of make in hot weather . This use to happen a lot in my Re Machismo and Yamaha enticer so i always try to park under the shade and inside and if possible under cover. And i also avoid filling the tank upto the brim unless going for a ride.Originally posted by shriomman View PostI want to know more about this. Why does this happen? Basically in hot weather fuel somehow produce gases which gets trapped inside the tank.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
But gasses and fumes rise to the top, don't they? So how will they disturb the fuel flow to the engine? It happened to a carb RE as well.
Or is it possible that due to heat, the liquid fuel expands, and exerts a pressure on the fuel line which leads to more fuel in the engine, thus causing the cold start problems.
Any other views on this?

I could be wrong but it think it is just the opposite.Originally posted by leech View PostBut gasses and fumes rise to the top, don't they? So how will they disturb the fuel flow to the engine? It happened to a carb RE as well.

Vacuum causes this issue and I have observed this with a lot of bikes I have ridden. I used to open the cap and blow a whistle in the tank (I was stupid then and I am stupid now).
Never bothered to experiment though.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Yes, that sounds plausible too. Vacuum pressure would prevent the fuel flow to the engine. However I have never experienced this, despite filling full fuel all the time I fill up, and parking wherever I find space, in or shade. My XP is with only one bike, though.Originally posted by xearoum View PostI could be wrong but it think it is just the opposite.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
This happens all day, There is a steep near my house.
I will be hitting that steap around 15~20KMph and to dead 0 at the top of it, and reach the main road.
This happened with out applying the brake. But even if the brake is not applied the abs kicks in and i feel the hard brake lever. when i apply break to wait for any vehicles in the main road to pass.
Is it normal??

How do you know brake lever is hard if you are not applying it. ABS is behaving differently for bikes. Some have reported quick pulsating vibrations like in tvs rtr. For me, it feels more like quick knocking but now i know that is abs.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Post

I am making assumptions here : abs prevents wheel locking when speed is above 10 kmph and delta is high in time interval.
Even if i am not making sense, try pulse braking. At one point when you are below 10 kmph, abs will disengage. HTH.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
This happens to me on bad roads. This is because, when you're at the top of the climb, the front wheel tends to be in the air for a millisecond or two.. Thisbis enough to trigger the ABS system even under the slightest touch of the brake lever. This is what hardens the lever for a moment and then gets back to normal.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View Post

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello Everyone,
I'm planning to buy either Dominar and Himalayan. I obviously like the Dominar, because of the ton of features it offers over Himalayan. But when I think about Himalayan, being the only affordable off road motorcycle currently in the market, it makes me think twice about it. I know Royal Enfield will always need my attention, keeping it with care but when I look at it, my hear says this is what your are looking for but when I think logically, the minds says "Royal Enfield, r u sure" Dominar is a much better package.
So, I'm here asking all of you for your help. Kindly post in your comments, what do you think about it and what should I go with??I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)

Thing is you have to find it your self.
Just go test ride both and decide your self.
Write down pros and cons of each byke and validate your self.

Abhishek has already given you the close to perfect answer. I would just like to drag your attention towards ABS which is a life saver technology and comes in Dominar.Originally posted by Lone_Rider 0_o View PostHello Everyone,

I know the feeling bro. I was in the same delima with dominar and fz25. Yamaha couldn't deliver on time and I went for dominar. So my fix for this is buy fz25 is 6 months. lolOriginally posted by Lone_Rider 0_o View PostHello Everyone,

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I own a 10 yr old Bullet Electra coz my heart won't agree to give it up. I own a D400 bcause logic says for touring this is the best within a given budget. I was in your place before zeroing on the D400. Honestly i loved the H for its looks and chassis and everything else, excepting for the engine. It reminded me of what i absolutely do not like in RE's of the latest generation. Hence the D400 for me. Maybe i will look at the RE again once they come out with the 750 twin!!Originally posted by Lone_Rider 0_o View Post

The choice is yours

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hey Everyone,
I've recently covered 2.5k kms on my Domi.. I'm totally satisfied with the bike except for a couple of things that I realized when I went on a recent trip..
1. The pillion seat is pretty hard as the pillion kept cribbing about it..When I rode it pillion, I realized that the cribbing was justified..Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
2. Due to a medical condition (golfer's elbow i.e. pain in the muscles of inner side of my elbow), I'm unable to keep my right arm stretched straight for more than 15-20 mins in a go. Can something be done to reduce that distance or increase the height like a handlebar riser to raise the handlebar to reduce the stretch?
I've seen something on those lines being available for Duke 200 n 390 on Amazon..Can someone plz suggest if it will work on the Domi?
