I expected such an outrage by fellow owners as everybody love the bikes they own and its pretty normal. Coming to sales of cbr and d400 the answer is simple "price", d400 is pure vfm. Dukes msp is performance, availability of spares was not an issue for me though they cost a bomb they last longer, I used to get 32kmpl in city and 34 on highways.

The mindset of Bajaj is to produce a vfm product to increase their sales figures, whereas Honda produces quality product and charge a bomb. I wud rather pay more for a quality product than to live with a cheap bike, by cheap I mean only price. When fellow Indian manufacturer mahindra cudnt produce mojo with all the features of d400 how do u think it was possible for Bajaj? Just answer me why am I still facing power loss issue even after resetting the ECU? It is very dangerous when it happens while riding in busy traffic, the bike just stalls no matter how much u wring the throttle.

Many ppl argue the bigger the cc more vibrations a bike has, mojo is also a single cylinder engine but has much better refinement and less vibes. The engine layout contributes to the vibes than its cc, RE having 350cc engine then acc to your theory d400 shud have more vibes than RE? The squarer the engine lesser the vibes and higher the performance.

I kept my views to myself for so long cos I knew it wud start a debate which wud not end in a gud way. D400 appeals for a common man but technically speaking there is nothing to brag about compared to other bikes in the segment except for its vfm.

I may not sell the bike but wud still wait and see how it preforms after 2nd service, hope it might change my impression for the good.

If you wanted higher priced quality motorcycle without compromises, then you could go for Duke 390. Why would Bajaj release one more new bike in the same price point as its partner? I know you can't easily change now, but you should admit your buying mistake.

As for refinement I think people can go for many aftermarket mods. Like handlebar with additional support rod like this, longer and heavier dampener weights in handlebar ends, padding for footrests, dampeners around engine, etc. And aftermarket LED lamps. Power loss in between is a serious problem, ask them to replace the ecu or fuel injection unit under warranty, or get the cam valves checked. For stability at higher speed you can bend forward to reduce the wind blast, to match the riding posture of cbr250r. Rear suspension is adjustable, you can set it to lowest if you havent done it already. Happy riding!

Dominar was able to handle very bad head winds. Saw most of the bikes had to slow down. The additional weight does have its benefits 😉

I hope you'll are checking the engine oil when the bike is completely cold state (preferably check early morning after the bike has been idle for over 8-9 hours ). Then ask your friend to sit on it and hold it straight and then you check it. If you keep it on the side stand it would cause the oil to move in that direction and you might get false reading.

I sit on the bike keep it straight and use my mobile to take a pic of the oil level indicator. Works well.

Whats your opinion about filling nitrogen in the tyres ? Will it do any good ? Some guys say it helps in keeping the tyre cool. ,🤔 Fellow riders please guide

Quick question, bike has run 2600kms.. The engine oil level seems to be too low, as in I can't see the oil in the small window provided.. (Did check the way specified in manual, idle for a minute and keep the bike straight) Does the bike really use so much oil? Should I just top up or replace? How will know how much to top up and should I top up the same Bajaj Oil or can I use Shell full synthetic or Motul? Is replacing oil a better option?

I know too many questions, but need advice..

Assuming you have left the bike for service at proper intervel, Low engine oil is not a good sign . Could be an issue with piston ring.. check if you see white smoke, if that is the case replace piston ring. And if you did not change oil during service, replace it as per company suggestions.

Yes, Nitrogen have ample adavantages. They don't expand much as oxygen, they make the tires run cooler, they prevent rust as they don't suck in moisture. So, all the more good to use Nitrogen as opposed to pure air.

High speed stability is not good on 100+, its not good,
May be because I am 100+ in KG

Any one fitted AS200 visor?? Will it make any difference in ride quality?

I am also planning to change to Michelin or better Tyres next month.
Bajaj should raise the price with 5~7K and provide better tyres in stock.



Waiting for these from amazon, I don't know how that holder will fit it into the handle bar and on high speeds.
And for the charger, I am planning to place it under pillion seat, It will be difficult to use it but the thing is I hate these things posing up in the handle bar

You cannot lift the rear break lever. It is not adjustable.

Put rubber washers or nylon washer under every bolt that you can. It will eliminate 50% of the vibration of parts.

I read about a similar issue with the rear foot pegs. If it does not bother you much while riding, wait till the next service interval.

i have a small doubt or something i am not sure about. i had a test ride of dominar again yesterday and i love cornering so i went in a corner and while exiting i twisted the throttle and i felt like the front tyre is leaving the ground (wheelieng) and i am sure that bike did that twice or thrice although i was in lower gear and in high rpm for sure and i had to release the throttle a bit to bring it down so all i wanna know is that does this bike really hold that massive power and torque to be able to do that?? by the way i am getting the bike next month and now spending a single day is like the longest time, cant wait and contain the excitement. Thank you.

Hi VJ. One thing that I was skeptical when I tried nitrogen was the grip, since the tyres run cooler as you said I felt the grip was not as much good as it was on air. It was during when I owned the cbr and she was on mrf zappers. Does that make any sense?

One more reason was nitrogen was not available everywhere.
