The throttle loss problem is not much of an issue. Those who havent updated their ecu have this and if you have even after the update, an ecu reset will make it normal.

My bike has been running perfectly and no engine problems whatsoever.... Honestly, I didnt have the throttle lag problem at all.

              Friends,

Has anyone done 1000 Kms on single day in your Dominar? I'm planning to do a round trip to Tiruppur from Chennai. Please advice? Current ODO Reading is 2000. I'm planning to start at early morning around 4 AM and reach at 11 AM and again leave at 4 PM in the evening. Its around 450 Kms a trip.

P.S. This would be my first long drive ever on bike

Considering that this is your first trip... Would suggest you to take it slow. It's more about you than the bike. Seasoned tourers, do comment.

D400 is equipped with (closed loop) FI.

                  1. There's no carb.
                  2. There's no CDI - thus implicitly meaning there's an ECU.

Kiirus made a severe mistake with their post/findings.
ECU is just the electronic controller. It controls fuel injection pump, to pump fuel only during intake time.

Not just that, an ECU monitors and maintains AFR, keeps electricals in check and reports with error codes otherwise, monitors O2 levels to keep stoichiometric ratios in check, maintains ignition timing and maps etc.

It's the CPU and it has loads of stuff to do rather than just open injectors during intake stroke.

Guys...do you feel the clutch lever vibrate when down shifting from 6th to 5th?
This does not happen always but happens frequently.

                      Cheers.

Never felt that. Is it a pulsation type vibration or what? Please specify.

Maybe it the sleeper clutch waking up? Do you shift down at high rpms?

It is more of a brief pulse. It is felt when the clutch lever is fully pressed (only when down shifting).

Not high RPM. Mostly around 4K RPM.
Is the Slipper clutch supposed to do that?

I would say it will be very tough. Once has to ride at an average speed of + 60kmph for 16 hrs minimum that also at a stretch with minimal break of few minutes. Man, it would be like running a marathon without pre-determination. Anyway, happy and safe riding Bro.
