Accept your mistake and thank others who try to educate you.

The reason why I got angry on this topic is, with such post many will really feel that Bajaj is fooling by the wrong specification and that too when such post come from someone who does ECU mapping on cars and bikes. If you don't find a ECU, ask. Why say there is no ECU and it has a Carb?

From all this we can conclude that those guys don't know shit about automobiles, instead they just buy some remapped ECU put a sticker of their own and sell for higher price.

Welcome to the 21st century mate. :P Hubris is a quality many possess and show off with pride(It is a different thing that they mistake that hubris for knowledge and wisdom).

Did this today and i can see the oil droping as u said. Also i rode the bike to work 4am (Yes i work early) it is 5kms distance and while reaching there i waited for 2 Mins and then checked the oil window by holding the bike straight for 1 min and it showed a good level almost to top line.

Yes idle it for 1 to 2 Mins before moving or putting it in gear.

I'm planning to start at early morning around 4 AM and reach at 11 AM and again leave at 4 PM in the evening. Its around 450 Kms a trip.

P.S. This would be my first long drive ever on bike
            Hi,
I had done 780 km on a single day. From Trivandrum to Chennai. And one from Chennai to Trivandrum.

First trip was during day time. I started at 6 AM, and reached Chennai at 6.30 PM. Second ride was during night.

But during the first ride, I felt that bike got tired after 400 km. It was a hot sunny day, and if you push the engine to run for a long time, you can feel that. But during the night ride, Dominar performed very well. I could feel the same level of response and punch throughout the ride.

I would advice you to take adequate break in between. Keep your body hydrated by having lot of fluids.

Check your tyre pressure before starting. I had to lubricate the chain after 500km. After that it was making some noise. But even if you take a chain lube with you, you may need a paddock stand, so you have to find a workshop. Beacuse carrying one with you isn't a good choice. Otherwise you should have someone to help by holding the bike on side stand. Even then you have to rotate the wheels by hand.

I'm currently at 600 KM in the odo and yet to do first service. My problem is that the gear shifting is hard and makes a lot of sound especially when going to first gear. My idle rpm is 2000 when I try to engage first gear a loud 'tuck' sound comes. Even when in high gears the shifting is a pain , lot of sound comes and I feel like the gears will break. Please advice

Engaging in first gear always makes that sound. My idle rpm is around 1600.
For the rest of gears, try to rev match.

The first gear sound is inherent to higher CC engines and will be more pronounced when the engine is cold as the idle RPM would be around 2K instead of 1.5K. Try idling the bike for couple of minutes before you start in the mornings (as suggested by one of our forum members). But this will only reduce the clunk sound and will not eliminate it.

For hard gear shifts when running, try shifting at appropriate speeds (the running-in speeds specified in the manual are not practical).

                    Hope this helps.

What mileage does one get in the city, if driven sanely? Is this recommend for someone who wants to start touring once a month? And gradually increase? The thing is my friend's sold on this bike.
                      Abs
                      Comfort
                      Power
All tick but miliege seems to be around 20 which seems quite low.
Rather get a second hand CBR 250r abs and have all the above with quality.
                      Someone guide me please

Since it's a lower cc engine I will have more mileage?

On an average, I get around 33 knpl on RS200 although max can go as high as 38 kmpl if driven in splendor mode.

You want to know which is a better bike between CBR and Dominar?

You are asking this in the Dominar thread, so the answer here would be Dominar (from most of the guys here).
For the same question in CBR250 thread, the answer could be CBR.

Better get an opinion from someone who owns both CBR 250 and Dominar.

                                Cheers
