Asking because I have absolutely no idea about these electrical mods.

Won't these kind of extra wiring and lightings make the bike more prone to electric failure?

And won't this void your warranty?

P.S. DO NOT QUOTE the entire picture set. Remove pictures when quoting posts with pictures.

Extra wiring properly done with actual load calculations are not prone to failure.

As per all companies with there terms and conditions it will void warranty. It will also void warranty if we alter a nut bolt . But if the work properly done with proper clip and slits practically roll back is possible. So...

I have some knowledge about electronics and electrical systems. More over I believe that I am the owner of the motorcycle. I don't let anything come between this. Not even the company.

Leg guard from shyahadri moto Mumbai. Ask them directly if you want information about the same. The metrial is strong and better than the stock. Covers the radiator area also.

And lights are for off road use only. Not for on road and there is no overkill for off road.

I noticed this strange thing while riding yesterday. I was riding a downhill. Ignition was on, but gear was not engaged. The rpm was constantly at 2000 below 27kmph and 2500 above 27kmph. No throttle input was given though. I was wondering why this is happening. So then I thought of checking in gear with depressed clutch. In first gear when the clutch is depressed it is always at 2000 rpm doesn't go down to 1500rpm. Has anyone experienced the same? Why so? Please check and update.
                Thank you.

                  Hi guys ,
Even I have purchased this amazing beast. Feeling proud to own it.
It's been around 160 km on odo.
Initially u feel mechanical sound from the engine but it was gone after first 50 kms.
I have used it mostly in city traffic and haven't faced any much observant heating issue.
Being running in period restricted rpm within 4 k with some revs in between.
Bike feels fantastic , promising and yeah definitely worth dominating the nights.
Has anyone searched for the panniers for the bike?
                  Pls do suggest.

I'm planning to buy my 1st bike... Tried Dominor too but feels a bit heavier for me... So I'm going with ns
If you ride properly NS can easily yield out 43+ , keep in mind that you'll have to accelerate in a linear manner and not just twist your throttle , the smoother you ride , the more you'll get.then again it's a performance series bike, once the running in is done, pin it and enjoy on some occasions.

The sad part here in Goa is that there is only one dealer for most of the motorcycle brands.

Yeah that's true, and when you do come there for service, Balaji and sham are the two best mechanics I've encountered. Prashant being worst . Then again it was for p220, not sure who'll be assigned for dominar

Noticed in day one. I think it's something to do with Slipper clutch and Rpm leveling in gears.

"humming noise is from engine side" even Bajaj service guy's confirmed all D400 has that noise and it comes from or coz of slipper clutch. It come's while in motion as well as stand still.
While bike is stand still you can notice the sound, sound changes when you engage and disengage clutch lever.

Is this an issue? we can't rely on bajaj service center, they simply say things to cool you down, I have checked with various users no one have faced this issue but I can see this on my machine.

                              Hello everyone,

I'm looking to buy the Dominar 400. I had a few queries.

                              1. Is the bike reliable and comfortable for city traffic like Bangalore? I'm looking to commute from office to home and vice versa of around 40kms.
                              2. How is the service quality? In Bangalore which service centre is good?
                              3. What about the bike issues one is facing? I've read a few issues like starting problem and vibrations.

I'll be switching over from a KTM RC 200.
Since I'm planning to keep the bike for at least 3 years I need to know whether it is worth it. If not, any other options?

I checked it with Fernanda. The GPS shows 95kmph when the speedo reads 100kmph. So there is a 5% error. Can this be accurate?

Yes, all electronic speedos are over-optimistic to the level of 10 to 15%. A perfectly calibrated GPS would always yield the correct figures, like V Box for example. Regarding your second RPM fluctuation post, it's quite strange a behavior to see RPM being irrational at different speeds. This, I would love to get the help from fellow Dominar owners and see if they can replicate the same. BTW, did you update your ECU?

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
