No throttle input was given though. I was wondering why this is happening. So then I thought of checking in gear with depressed clutch. In first gear when the clutch is depressed it is always at 2000 rpm doesn't go down to 1500rpm. Has anyone experienced the same? Why so? Please check and update.
    Thank you.
    Hey,
I have faced the same issue.. Was going downhill, in neutral, and the rpms were same as you mentioned.. And though idling rpm is 1.6k according to Owner's Manual, it only comes in Neutral or any gear at stand still.. While under movement, in gear, clutch depressed, same as you, 2k rpm..
I tested this after I saw your post.. Can confirm you are not the only one facing this.. issue, if you wanna call it...

On a side note, had my first service @ 570 kms.. Revved the bike in Neutral to check the rpm limit and to my surprise, it revved all the way to 9k rpm without any hitch.. Red-lined @ 8500.. Isn't it supposed to be limited to certain rpms till 2500kms?? Can anyone clarify this..??
P.S.: Haven't revved the bike before 1st service, not even to check the rpm limit, so I have no idea if the ECU was updated before delivery and is reset now or there was no update..

Thanks for the update. As I had mentioned earlier, had put this up with a service manager and he has promised to clarify after checking with his higher officials. Will keep you guys posted.

Regarding the rpm limit, that's how it is supposed to be. 8500rpm shift light glows and 9000rpm is the red line. Earlier it was 9500rpm shift light and 10000rpm red line. Now all the Dominars are arriving with Ecu updated at factory itself. No need to worry.

Took a test drive of the bike today. Gear shifts were clunky. They drop with a sudden thud. Especially from neutral. When going from neutral to first the bike moves front very slightly. Couldn't feel the vibrations as much. Quality of switch gear is ok. What surprised me was the accelerator grip. It was like a layer of it had come off. I could pinch the grip. It felt as if there was an aftermarket grip put onto the stock one and it was loose. Has anybody experienced this? I'm thinking of booking it tomorrow.

I posted pics with Aux lights earlier. I was not quite convinced with the position of the lights, it spoiled the look of the headlamps and the lights were specifically made to be mounted on RVM bolts. But due to the Rear brake disc master cylinder ahead of the rights side RVM i was not able to mount the light there. Also i was not happy with the height of the mirrors. So i looked for some mirror extenders and they were around Rs.2000 in India whereas Rs.700 in Aliexpress but it would take ages to arrive. Finally i was able to source cheap after market chinese short mirrors that came with such bolts for just Rs.200.

That was very handy and solved my problem. It raised the height of the RVMs well enough that im comfortable with now. Also now the Aux lights are mounted in the RVM bolts and the illumination is just perfect. I can either point them towards left for my left clearance or point on to the eyes of the oncoming high beamers to blind them.
The number plate is back on and is custom made to suite my preference. So this is how Fernanda looks now.

Regarding the vibration from the center black panel on the tank, try putting any rubber washers or any padding like this here. It sorted out the vibrations for me and im happy now.

Which city? When I did a TR last week at one of the Chennai showrooms, I felt the exact same thing.. I even double checked to see if it was some loose aftermarket grip, but there was none.. But then I read some owner impression somewhere, calling out some of the parts' poor quality of plastics used, including the accel grip, which as he mentioned melts under the hot sun and starts to become loose very soon..

If that is true, most people here should experience it.. Hopefully it's a one of case, or may be the first lot?

I took a test drive in Popular Bajaj, Bangalore. I'm assuming that the test drive bike was from the first lot. When I mentioned it to the sales executive, he told me that Bajaj has worked on some updates in the newer batches, regarding vibration and also the brake pads which are better. I couldn't hear the rest as I was trying to experience the bike. He clearly also told me that new bikes don't have any sort of problem and since test drive bikes are rashly ridden, certain issues were cropping up.

My fear came alive today. Parked my bike in office premises and 12 hours later, realised that the rear tyre has gone flat. Coming from a scooter platform, I cannot imagine myself dragging this heavy machine for a kilometer. It's just too heavy for someone like me.
Lesson learnt: radial tyres with soft rubber is a perfect mix to make you happy and sad weekly.
Go buy yourself a tyre inflator and puncture repair kit. Because even a small piece of glass can easily ruin a good day.
Now I need to find some kind of secured saddle bag.

I use Rescuetech micro tyre inflator for car and bike both , haven't connected it to dominar though. It is very handy and small i bought it from Amazon for 1k with ome year unconditional warranty. Or any loacal made would also do the job.
For saddle bag u can try the small 8ltr plastic luggage box i have seen it on 2 dominars.

So I went for the first service at 550 kms. I was charged 1175 for the consumables. Not sure if they did anything, though the bike feels a lot smoother than before. A few days before going in for the service I tried going hard on the accelerator, and to my surprise the bike did go to 9000 rpm in 2nd and above, though it felt that it did not want to. And after that I did not dare to rev it beyond 5k. After the service too, i tried taking it beyond 5k and it did go to 7-8k a little better than last time. So I guess it will take a little further time for the engine to break in further. I was just being too overtly cautious. Also the vibrations have reduced a lot too. But one odd thing happened was when I took the bike to service, I checked the engine oil level before giving it and to my surprise I did not see any oil in the level guage. When I checked another owner's Dominar who had come for the first service, his engine oil level was full even though he had clocked 700 kms! I had explained it to the mechanic and said he will look into it. Did any of you face this or is it even an issue? I had checked it by keeping the bike at level so I know its not that low because its slanted.

You must have checked on a cold engine and was the bike tilted on the stand. Best way to check oil is to warm the engine first , keep it at idle or have small round now leave the bike for 2 mins and then check by keeping the bike straight on the level road, keep observeing the oil glass window it fill up slowly.

Where did you get the RVM extender? online or local market?

Tubeless tyres you can ride for few kilometres on flat, that won't damage the tyre. Secured saddle bag means you would need nut or bolt inside the locked area, so it may not be waterproof, if you want to fend off thieves with spanners.

From a local store in my town. The mirror is of pathetic quality and I didn't mind cuz I just needed the bolts. Ask for short fancy mirrors which would be any day a China make. Also ask if they have any damaged mirrors try and get the bolts seperately for 50₹ to save some money. Best of luck!
