On xBHP after what feels like ages.I have been using an Apache RTR 180 ABS for 2.5 years now, have completed 15,000 kms on it.

Is it just me or it feels like a lot of Apache ABS guys are going for the D400 ABS now?

I am planning on an upgrade. Touring capabilities with the RTR are extremely limited given the vibrations.
I have tried all sort of "jugaad" but the best thing to do is to just live with the vibes.
It doesn't irritate me given that it's my first bike and it is now a part of me. But the pillions always complain about it.

So my questions here are -
                1) How many of you have moved from RTR ABS to D400 ABS?
                2) The RTR ABS is fantastic! How does the Dominars' compare?
                3) I see a lot of notes on the vibes in D400 at the 4.5k level, is it anywhere close to our RTR's vibrations or just vibes by normal bikes standards?
                4) As is typical of Bajaj (even KTM), should I wait for a batch or 2 more till all the issues are fixed or are we close to a stable model and shall I go for the D400 by May?

                Thanks in advance.
Hello brother, i have an apache 190. (Bored 180, from race concepts) though not an abs , the info might help you out.

The vibes are nowhere near apache, these vibes are at no point comes close it to, its just a single cylinder, less money issue.

Been on long rides 200-800, the bike is sturdy, fast, BRAKEs are a big plus , doesn't just throw its tail out in case of sudden braking.
Its superb comfortable in comparison to apache. Torque filled! I think its just your luck, people who took before or after me also face some issues or others so it just your lottery situation.

                Hope that helps

Why not be a part of it sirji? And yes , we also came in contact with that ride, but we planned something earlier , hence had to miss it.

                            HI.

BIke runs smooth on all terrains. But little precautions on black Ice as no ABS nor sticky tires help you on that . I broke my front mud guard near kufri. We went to unknown road where there are only rocks and bike performance is really appreciate and ground clearance is good on that.

                                Hi,

Yesterday i did 1st servicing of my bike at odo reading 510km. They just changed the engine oil, check all the nuts and bolts, washed the bike and then lubed the chain.

The bike is smoother then before but I have noticed some "shrrrrrr" sound coming only while accelerating.
This sound is coming if we are taking the throttle and sound stops if we leave the throttle/acceleration idle and is more noticeable after 3rd gear.

When I reported same to the service centre today...they checked everything and told me there is no problem with anything in bike.

Anyone faced this peculiar sound ?
