Even I have booked the Dominar in Bangalore and I have got the dispatch message.
Had a small query regarding the same...
You got to select which bike you wanted, so did you do the payment formalities beforehand? or once you shortlisted the bike you want out of the Dominars available at the dealer?
Because my dealer is saying the bike will be coming by Saturday and I will have to do the payment beforehand, and from the looks of it it didn't look like I will get a choice, but will have to confirm that.

    Thanks!
    Thanks for the wishes.

I made payment of 1.5 lac by cheque on 7th Jan.
on 12th Jan when i went to showroom, few bikes were there for delivery. I met with my representative who was in touch with me from the very starting. I asked him to complete formalities and rest of the payment. He asked me to choose bike. It wasnt connected to the payment anyhow.
Just check every bike and panel fittings before selecting the bike.

PS: This is for sure that bike is not registered with your booking ID. Choose any bike which ever you like. But you cant change the color.I have seen the bike list.Bikes are being dispatched from Bajaj plant on the basis of booking id and color.

          All the best Kiran.!
Hope you get your message soon.
Also, the bike takes a week from the receipt dispatch message to reach from Chakan,Pune.
At least that's what the dealer said.

                Hi saudjawed,
ABS. BTW, I booked it at Khivraj Motors, Kasturba Road.
Have you booked yours from the same dealer?

But why this? I mean how difficult it could be to control the wrist for just 1000kms? Its not impossible if I know well , for someone who really wants the "new" engine to "last long"
I say this time and time again, you DONT need to control the wrist for any number of km. I've ripped my 390 from day 1 and it still rides smoother than most of my fellow 390's who followed the stupid rpm limit. Just don't red line it continously. These bikes aren't splendors.

                    Guys,

Just a small recommendation, please stretch your budgets and buy the Dual Channel ABS version, this will go a long way in making your ride safer, it is not a huge amount and the pay off's are greater.

This is right but I wouldn't use the word rip-it. You have to keep varying the rpms regularly and also once in a while take it to red line and throttle down. This varying range of acceleration-deceleration cycles will make the pistons get a close fit with the cylinder walls which helps to get a good run in. You need not wait for 500kms to change the oil and can change it within say 250-300 kms to flush out the metal particles.
