Is it possible to alter the chain sprocket (without losing mileage, i dont mind if top or initial pick up slightly reduced)

so that Dominar can crawl in 2nd gear in those sharp humps/potholes for which bike needs to be below 15km/hr speed.
As of now below 19km/hr it begs for 1st gear showing jerk in 2nd.

    Thank you..

Check with him, Parveen bhai has done over 50000kms on his bike and he is currently using luvia rear sprocket.
Ask him in comments, u can give my reference if u like. He can give u first hand account of how is the sprocket change doing for the bike.

Guys, when I took my Dominar I informed the mechanic about the vibration of tank and handlebar and demanded for Vibration Kit but they were clueless about the existence of any such Kit. So, what am I suppose to do now?

Hello guys. Yesterday i went for the 3rd free service of my dominar.

Things i asked to replace for are air filter, inline fuel filter, and oil and oil filter (i change oil every 5k). There was a minor oil leakage from magnet case. Which was rectified with new gasket and a rubber packing around that cable was replaced.

Guys with the rear brake bite issues please read this.

I asked them to check both brake pads. And they replaced both. And my god what an improvement i got in rear brake. I never had a complaint for front brake bite, but i always wished if it had a little bit more bite at rear. Though i never complained. I don’t know if they had changed pads quality or supplier. But i am very much happy with rear brake bite now. The difference is day and night.

So everyone having a complains about rear brake, please get your brake pads changed and see if things improves. It just cost around 250 unlike some 2k from that of apache rr. I am really very very much happy with rear bite.

Well the mechanic who replaced pads forgot to tightened the front caliper both bolts. I lost one and another was about to fell and mishap just waiting around the corner. Thank god i realised it before that due to some knocking sound. It is really careless of them to forget such an important things.

Mishap avoided is a good thing mate. Glad you and Dominar are ok.
What an utter rubbish miss by the SVC!!!
Rear brake pad change helped bring back the sweet braking feel is something folks here should try.
It is a good move if Bajaj has rectified it.
It could also mean the new Dominar has these brake pads and that the spares are from the upcoming version.

But brother the thing is, rear brake feel isn’t back, i mean i never had it or felt it. Now it’s just so sharp. Like for a while after finding the missing bolt i was riding with rear brake. I could have never done it with previous pads.

This is just something new found. I never had that bite even with new bike.... this is very much new feeling...... and anyone curious about bill it was 2150. And they insisted me to change air filter and fuel filter at 20k. But i anyway went with it. It doesn’t hurt anyway. Parts are so cheap with Bajaj anyway.

The merits of owning a Bajaj is real affordable spares and its availability.
Do you have the bill? You can attach it here.

How do you verify that they have changed air filter & inline fuel filter? Were you present at SC while the service was carried out?

Given that its a task to open up tank and reach for those filters, its just hard to quickly verify these things.
Tomorrow i am planning for my 1st paid service @9k kms. And i plan to purchase air filter & fuel filter, replace it myself.

I just trust them. I just feel they won't do that. I do same with cars. Just trust. There's nothing much we can do. And yes brother if you are a DIY guy than obviously you should do it yourself. But i am not a DIY kind of person. I mean i know things little. But it's too much of efforts for me.

The GST column looks weird to me. How can they have different GST for brake pads than filter? We have predefined GST rates already and 28% being highest. What is the PAD component?

Yeah right. I didn't noticed it. Definitely seems weird. I don't know why it's different? But difference might be because of materials used in it.

Its is because the filter is charged at 18% i.e CGST -9% + SGST - 9% and pads are charged at 28% .

I feel its because of the non- Localisation of product manufacturing though not sure about this.

But what i observed is in free service labor charge is free right , then is it right to charge for the Rear brake overhaul, I know its not part of regular service but i think i have read that labor is free of cost .... Please shred some light on this.

Coz this way of charging for service of 700/-(In bengaluru) and apart from this additional cost of parts i dont think its fair.

Even I had minor oil leak from the magnet case. They changed the gasket. Have to get the bike washed to check if it's completely stopped.
Has the leakage stopped for you?

Also the oem brake pad quality is not good imo. They lose the sharpness after 5k kms. I got mine replaced after 8k even though they had life left in them, the compound had become hard.
