Turns out the entire manufacturing batch had this gear problem. april 2018 batch to be specific. my friend from Pune had the same issue which belonged to the same batch.
If true, its quite an oversight. Why dont bajaj take responsibility and do a recall?

Though having engine issue in entire batch makes me shudder. But we do have likes of royal enfield with which they are trying to compete so no surprise.

Have you heard any good bits about the svc at tolichowki? Maybe you can check with hyd domi group for their suggestions about a better svc.

Please do share if you do. Haven't bought it yet, hopefully in next quarter or 2.

Dipstick O-ring is gone I think. You can easily get an O ring for below ₹10.

Hey guys, so today I drained the stock 10w50 FS of my Dominar and filled her up with this. Now, I've measured and poured exactly 1500 ML Oil but when I checked the window with my bike standing straight oil was touching 2nd line. Is it normal or do I need to fill more?Click image for larger version

Guys, today morning I checked the oil level with my bike standing straight. BTW I happened to tilt her towards right coz I slipped while holding her as the floor was wet and no we didn't fell [emoji16]
Anyways, I held her straight till the oil level settles and now this is what its showing. Do I need to topup with few more ML's or is it enough?Click image for larger version

That's perfectly fine. No need to pour more.

You need to run the bike for few mins in the morning and then check the oil level with the bike upright - this is called the warm oil check and is the right way to check. Incase it still is on the lower side, then you can do a small top-up.

But having said this, if you have drained it and added 1.5Ltr back, it should be absolutely fine.

Did you change the oil filter and o-ring?

No I didn't change the oil filter as it was replaced 500 KMS ago during 1st servicing.

Don't tell the Bajaj folks that you changed your oil to non Bajaj oil (assuming you are within the standard 2yrs or 30000kms warranty period). They'll straight away void your warranty.

                              Hello Guyz ,
This post is regarding a problem my frnd has been facing since some time on his 6 months old Dominor.

He rode the motorcycle to offc(BTM to Kadabeesanahalli) and after parking it for around 8-9 hours ,when he tried riding back the motorcycle back home he had a starting problem(self not working-later checked n battery is good). After trying to jump start ,this and that ,kept the bike idle for some time and after around 15-20 mins it just started on 1st push on self switch button..

                              This has happened 3HRICE

HAS ANY1 FACED D SAME PROBLEM. ANY IDEA Y THIS IS HAPPENING? & WATS D SOLUTION?

I've not faced such problem in my domi. But had this issue in my Fiat Punto car. One of the cell in the battery was found to be weak. 1 year old exide battery could not produce enough amps (voltage was correct always). Check the battery amps (load test) in a reputed battery shop. After replacing battery, it never re occurred.

Before buying a new battery, try with another battery from service or from your friends dominar.

                                Hope it helps.
