Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
You can lube whenever you feel the chain is dry. I asked you to carry chain cleaner and lube because it's been raining cats and dogs in Bengaluru and you might face some rains en-route your destination or when you're there. It's better to lube the chain at the end of the day after riding in rain else you'll feel the bike to be rough the next day. Dry lube can last more than 500 kms though.Originally posted by vatsa View PostIs it important to lube the chain before the ride ? The distance is arnd 380 kms and i guess we need tk lube once every 1000kms if i am right . The bike is anyways new. Asking this cause i anyways plan to pick up a dry lube and chain cleaner but was just wondering if the distance is too less for using it.
Thanks

To which city bike belongs to? Used bike price varies 10-20K from state to state because of high road taxes.Originally posted by JourneyGuy View PostWhat should be the fair value of 2017 ABS Dominar done around 16,000 kms? The condition is very good.
On an average 1.1-1.15L would be the maximum for 16K kms run 2017. With keeping extra 15K as buffer for Basic full service, Insurance, Tyres and Sprocket both which would need changing soon going by it lasts max 20-25K kms stock.
If everything is brand new Tyre, Sprocket, Recently renewed Insurance etc etc then you offer upto 1.25-1.3L max.
Again take a call based upon average used bike price for your city on OLX, Droom, Quiker etc etc. That should give average asking price and can negotiate 10-20% on that price.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi Bro, thanks for the suggestion. I already rented Dominar from Drivezy a month back and went for a 160km(to & fro) ride. Bike condition is same as yours. Much worse is that I received a bike with rear puncture which i didn't realize until I got the tires inflated in a petrol bunk. I had to got the puncture repaired at my own expenses and continue with the ride plan. Actually I thought of posting a detailed review on this, but I keep on postponing.Originally posted by Vipergts07 View PostHey. BTW if you use flipkart and have those coins, there was a drivezy voucher for 1500/-. I tried and took the domi off the kavuri hills dmart drivezy branch for 2 days. Badly maintained but I had a good experience even in that run down condition of a bike. See on fk if the voucher is still there, rent is free then, just petrol cost.

Looking good bro. Those fitting clamps are modded or dirct fit to dominar.??Originally posted by fireblade777 View PostInstalled studds cruiser box on Dominar. Cost of box is 1250. Installation charger was 250 rs. So total 1500 Rs. Capacity 23 litres.
With both sides.., we can have a 45ltrs of luggage space which is quite economical in thats price.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Hey can you post larger size of the images. Was it a direct fit or did you alter the fittings clamps. Pictures of the clams fitted would be helpful.Originally posted by fireblade777 View PostInstalled studds cruiser box on Dominar.

So got the bike and rode for close to 350+ kms. The gear shift is smooth at the moment.Originally posted by Nitharshanaan View PostThanks mate. Update once you get response from service guys.
All they told me (folks at the service center) was they had to adjust the chain. Thats it. He didn't explain anything more also I was in hurry to go.
Also the pick has improved now.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
The box is not a direct fit. Some of the clamps had to be altered. One or two clamps not provided with the box were also used. The box was placed in such a way that the pillon doesn't have any difficulty in keeping the right leg on the foot rest. Ask your local studds box retailers about workshops which do the fitting.Originally posted by sarvodaya View PostHey can you post larger size of the images.
