What bike part are you looking for? I think you better check on https://www.99rpm.com/ and order if available instead of waiting for the dealer to get the part.

      Hi,
Any leads regarding which fuel suits better to Dominar UG 19. Normal petrol or premium fuels like speed , power or extra premium. I usually refill with premium fuel.

5 years after launch, I still haven't seen any good Bajaj SVC here that can properly listen to and give better service to the KTM/Domi/RS customers.

In the beginning I did the same as our friend here, complaining and going to SVC multiple times in a single day. In the end, it was useless as no matter where I went, I would get the same dreaded "Sir this is normal behavior" response.

So I started learning and doing stuff on my own. I downloaded manuals and watched tons of DIY videos. Today I no longer have to rely on the pathetic service guys from bajaj (unless something major goes bad). I do all the regular maintenance like oil change, chain cleaning and lubing. I have even done advanced service like cleaning the throttle body and air filter by completely removing the fairings myself at home. At first, it seems daunting and uncertain, you will make mistakes, but you will eventually learn the proper way. I say to all the guys who own liquid cooled fuel injected bikes, to have at least this basic knowledge so you don't always have to rely on someone else. It strengthens the bond you have with your motorcycle, it becomes something more than just a machine that takes you from A to B.

Sorry for the long post. Happy riding all!

Can anyone help me with list of error codes and information for 2019 dominar 400. There few codes that are being displayed while turning the bike on sometimes (not everytime). Also trip meter gets reset when codes are displayed.

I occasionally see the primary console go blank followed by few 2 digit hexa-decimal numbers one after another for 3-4 seconds and then the console comes up. Now the trips are reset.
I believe bug in the bike's console software and nothing with error and hence error code.
I had updated the console s/w to display the Gear Position Indicator couple of months back and since then facing this problem.
Is there any way we can raise to Bajaj so as to fix the bugs?

Yeah.. i got my bikes first service done last to last Saturday.. even i can now see gear on main display.. so is there bug in firmware and not errors? I am getting those messages or errors from yesterday.. today suddenly bike stopped showing fuel efficiency.. after restarting the bike display was normal again..

I believe it is firmware error and not problem with something in bike in order to show error code.

" today suddenly bike stopped showing fuel efficiency" as there is no Trip on the on board computer, it will not be able to calculate the fuel efficiency. Once Trip gets some KMs on, it will show the FE also.
Dynamic FE in any case will still be shown.

As per the manual you need to fill in 91 octane fuel.
The regular unleaded petrol dispensed at all gas stations have an 87 octane rating. After implementation of BS-IV emissions norms though, most fuelling stations have switched to 91 octane. HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) sells HP Power which is a regular petrol with additives. IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) dispenses XtraPremium petrol at their outlets with an octane rating of 91. BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) sells Speed with an octane rating of 91

New Dominar 400 owner. Barely 50km on odo. Noticing some vibration on the foot pegs and handlebars riding below 3k rpm. Is this normal on a Dominar?

New bike takes time for engine to seat in, for initial engine setting in will produce lot of heat and vibrations, ride it normally till 600-800kms, get the 1st service done and see if it still exists. And yes Dominar will be little bit on viby side.

Still getting used to the high turning radius and weight of the bike. Pretty difficult to push it backwards with feet. Is the rear suspension adjustable to be more comfortable on bad roads?

Yes the rear shocker is adjustable, you can either go to the service center or watch a video on youtube and do it yourself, for that you have to buy a C spanner which fits your suspension. It's better to do it yourself as you can experiment with various settings and select one which suits you

                            Hello guys,
Planning to buy a new bike and after a lot of consideration it has come down to two options -

                            1. KTM Duke 390
                            2. Dominar 400

I have few questions about both the bikes -

                            1. Which bike is more reliable as I ll be probably keeping the bike for at least 5 years?

                            2. How is the service experience of both Bajaj and KTM?

                            3. How do these motorcycles handle heating?

                            4. Should I wait for the BS6 models or go for the current models?

PS - The bike will be majorly used for touring and some city commute, so reliability will be a big deciding factor.

"1. Which bike is more reliable as I ll be probably keeping the bike for at least 5 years?" I believe both are equally reliable (or say not reliable).
I took 2019 Dominar 400 as Duke 390 has sheer raw power and difficult to handle in Bangalore jam packed roads.

"2. How is the service experience of both Bajaj and KTM?" I believe KTM does not have separate service centers. Both are serviced by Bajaj only. In Bangalore, Bajaj service centers are crappy. As I stay close by to a Bajaj ASC, I am ok. As I do not leave them until my issues are resolved. Not that I have faced any issue with Dominar.

"3. How do these motorcycles handle heating?" KTM has heating issues at least in Bangalore traffic. Not to say that Dominar does not, but i believe Dominar may have an edge. Again just my opinion.

"4. Should I wait for the BS6 models or go for the current models?"
I would wait If I were you.

"PS - The bike will be majorly used for touring and some city commute, so reliability will be a big deciding factor."
For touring I would say, Dominar would have an edge, as it is on heavier side and so would tend to be more stable.

If spending extra money ₹1.2L is not a concern and difficult to you then I'd say pick the Duke 390.

                                1. Both of them have become are fairly reliable now after both got minor 2019 updates, most electrical and mechanical issues have been resolved compared to first batch of 2017 bikes of both models.

                                2. It depends on where you stay and city, not all service centers are built equal, it's upto your luck if you have good or bad service centers around you.

                                3. Both heat up fair bit in city traffic, but nothing unbearable to reject these bikes.

                                4. If I were you I wouldn't wait if Bs4 vs Bs6 re-sale value is not your concern and not looking for selling it within 3-4 years, with Bs6 you'll have to pay easily ₹10-15K more, definitely both bikes will lose bit of horsepower due to Bs6, will also sound much less quieter. Decide if you want to have latest model or okay with getting previous model at very good discounted price.

Use this to your advantage and bargain for good discounts of ₹20-30K or free 3yrs insurance during Feb-Mar 2020 time frame, when every dealer will looking be to clear off their Bs4 stocks before 31/Mar/2020 cut off. Remember the Bs3 cut off time you got Activa free or 50K cash discount with CBR250R, Mojo was offered at 40K discount.
