2.44? Really?Originally posted by vatsa View Post2.44 Lacs On road bangalore
Two weeks back I got a quotation of Rs.2.2 lakhs (on-road). This quotation is for 1.8L Ex Showroom price.
Did you opt for any additional accessories? Opted for 1+4 years Own-Damage cover & Nil depreciation?

Thanks!Originally posted by yashasvi View PostWhat about the extended warranty and the extra free services? Did you get those? Congratulations by the way
The Extended warranty is available by default. You will have 5 years / 75k kilometers warranty.
I did not get the extra two free services. I think this is the current offer for the new hiked(by 10k) showroom price.
So after 10 K price hike, you get a discount of 6K and two free services (say of 2k each) so we are back to square one
Nice marketing strategy for the upcoming festival season
Cheers!

Road Tax in Telangana is 9% whereas it is 18% in Karnataka. If you add all the Cess ,fees etc. it come to almost 20%.Originally posted by Swadeshi View Post2.44? Really?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
so its been 2 days since i took delivery of my dominar. I havent been able to go on a long ride yet. i have a couple of questions to ask.
next week i have to go to chennai on work. would it be ok to ridedown on my bike from bangalore before the 1st service ? i should be able to reach just in time for my 1st service in chennai. Also there s a lot of info available on the net, few asking to maintain the rpm within 5k and not stress the engine beyond. i dont think i would enjoy the ride riding at 70-80 kph. Would it be alright to give an occassional burst of 100+ ?
would be great to hear your feedback on this. Also tell me what all should be taken care for the travel ?
thanks

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hey. BTW if you use flipkart and have those coins, there was a drivezy voucher for 1500/-. I tried and took the domi off the kavuri hills dmart drivezy branch for 2 days. Badly maintained but I had a good experience even in that run down condition of a bike. See on fk if the voucher is still there, rent is free then, just petrol cost.Originally posted by Swadeshi View Post2.44? Really?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
It's okay to ride down on the highway. Just make sure you vary the RPM and use all the gears well. Make sure you get an appointment at your destination for your 1st service. Maintain speeds/RPM as recommended by the manufacturer in the owner's manual. Occasional bursts till 100 is okay. Remember, don't baby the bike nor go apeshit on it. Give the bike ample breaks between 75-100 kms. Carry rain gears, chain cleaner and lube and keep yourself hydrated and physically active all the time. Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Is it important to lube the chain before the ride ? The distance is arnd 380 kms and i guess we need tk lube once every 1000kms if i am right . The bike is anyways new. Asking this cause i anyways plan to pick up a dry lube and chain cleaner but was just wondering if the distance is too less for using it.Originally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostIt's okay to ride down on the highway.
