Yes, just seen. Why the hell Bajaj keeps hiking the price in spite of dwindling sales? As per sales reports, the sales had dropped from 1,122(2108) to 927(2019) for the month of August. And 10k hike is a steep increase, this may deter potential buyers in favor of the Himalayan.

Do you have any accessories installed? Check your crash guard bolts often the vibes are related to aftermarket accessories installed wrong, I had my handlebar risers over tightened there was some issues of vibes, I loosened them a bit and it's all great now.

Still on the fence between the domi and H? Got inclined towards the MOJO for a short while. Guess it's back to the H.

If you're not into off roading and now Dominar has almost lost the VFM tag, you can opt for Mojo, a great motorcycle for touring.

Mojo would have been a good choice as a tourer if they had updated the Headlamp & Speedometer(even commuter bikes have better speedometers) cluster and stick with USD forks & double barrel exhaust. I think the exhaust note used to give mojo a unique identity, but no more. At least USD forks & double barrel exhaust should been provided as an option in a different variant like before.

Not in this quarter for sure. Very likely they will do a price hike for bs6.

This was expected and I had smelled it long back!

When it was originally launched at 1.5L for ABS in 2016, they were barely selling it at cost price.

When they added USD, DOHC etc etc in 2019 they had only hiked the price by 11K compared to older non-USD, SOHC model, everybody knew that USD, DOHC, extra display costs more than 25K+ to add (single side USD fork costs 8K), so yes it was just marketing gimmick to hike only 11K to attract foot fall and promote the new model at a loss to the company.

Now that it has very good feedback and positive reviews for the new model, they have now went back to recovering the loss and started to hike the price again slowly every quarter.

Beg to disagree here, while 1.5l and the 11k hike were definitely attractive (VFM!), it was not "at cost", they were still making decent margins here.
This basically comes from scale and shared parts with D390 for the engine, which is generally the costliest component.
Most bikes have to factor in the R&D of the bike parts, mainly the engine and drive train, this is the major research expenditure.
But given that D390 was already a hit and long-running, Bajaj basically had 0 R&D cost. This was why it was easy to price it lower than the competition and get a buzz( pun intended) going.

Also is that festive discount from manufacturer or dealer? Can you share more details on this?

IT's from BAJAJ and not from dealer. I saw a full page add in the newspapers y'day from bajajauto and then confirmed with the dealer and booked the bike.

Thanks,I will recieve the bike today after thre RTO formalities and then i shall post the pics.
