    Took my bike's delivery on 4th Oct,2019.
Rode it from Mumbai to Pune on Sunday (I am from Mumbai and I work in Pune).. kept it under 4k rpm..
When i was following break-in speeds mentioned in manual, bike's engine felt more warm and was then stalling.
Till now i have covered around 230 kms.
I felt that headlight could have been more powerful for highway use, for city use its enough.
It gathers attention where ever I stop, as if it's an alien.
So i named it after an alien.. "GAMORA"

      Cheers.

Hey IamAditya , its been long since you posted this , but I was wondering if you had to replace any of the wiring or cables to use Avenger's handlebar ?
I am also looking out for options as i already have raisers installed but still dont find them that comfortable.
Would be great if u also let me know did it affect handling of bike in slow traffic (bumper to bumper) , does it make bike easy to maneuver ?

      Cheers,
      Rohit

          Hey guys,

In serious trouble, I was on a trip, from trivandrum to bangalore(~700KM)

I started early morning after checking oil level and other primary checks and did 180KM with out any break. Had break fast near madurai and continued for ~50km.
After breakfast, I was doing ~140KMPH, suddenly I lost power and I pulled over.

When I check the coolant was overflowing due to overheating. I waited for like 10~15 mins and check oil level, and oil was no where near the indicator glass.

The nearest service center is about ~25 km away, but I found a local workshop in 1KM and rode it till there. The local mechanic topped up oil usiing 1.75L oil.

But still the its not going beyond 35KMPH/4000rpm.

I towed it to nearest service center (Dindigul, Ram Baja), they look new to dominar, even though I found couple of dominar in the service center.

They said the clutch is burnt, But I felt the clutch is fine. Any way they replace the clutch and no improvement.

White smoke is coming when we start it first

THen they said "Engine seized sir".

I shipped it back to home via train and yet to pick it.

          What might have gone wrong?
Where did the oil go? It went empty in ~200KM.
I fed in 1.5L motul about 1 week/100KM ago. NO OIL LEAKS, oil got burnt?

Whats the worst case? Engine block? crank? valves?
          Expected cost?

Any one else faced this kind of issue?

Hey guys Im new owner of Dominar 2019 (Green) model... Its been so much fun and excitement for getting my first 400cc bike (before I had gixxer 155, modified).

My question is Which exhaust would make Domi sound like inline 2 at least and if not just in general which exhaust will be best sounding for it? (I like the way the stock one's sound but still I feel there's less excitement riding with it, just my feelings[emoji1694])

Also will it void warranty? (I've rode 600kms only)

            Thank you!

From what I can speculate here, your bike went into limp mode, as in the 35 kmph/4000 RPM after prolonged riding without oil. You were at least lucky enough to not seize your engine completely, else you couldn't have moved your bike an mm if the piston were to get stuck to the cylinder due to the heat. There are high chances of the clutch getting burnt because the engine was run without oil, a very high probability. Equally high are the chances, your piston rings and your cylinder might have got damaged due to heat.

When you go dry on engine oil, almost every moving part of your motorcycle is being risked to the tune of going bad to going straight to junk. If you observe white smoke, it means your piston rings and your valve stem seals are faulty, and they need replacement. Eventually, the only way to check them is to remove the head, valves and check the piston, cylinder and rings and inspect them on the table. We're looking at half engine work here.

Cost upwards of 10k plus easily if you have to replace your cylinder, valves and nitty-gritty. But, that's just a speculation on the worst case scenario.

Good luck. Keep your observations posted.

              Cheers!

Hi VJ from the pictures what i see there is a CAT-CON present under the engine so its previous version of Domi if at all he needs to replace the valves can he opt to replace it with the DOHC setup from 2019 Domi as any ways he is replacing it ?? .. Would be helpful i feel if its possible.
And 1 more information is as it was a accident not intentional will he be able to claim insurance i'm thinking its not possible but just info in case you can shed some light here.

This I am not sure Arjun. It's not easy to change or swap a SOHC to DOHC easily, though the internals remain the same, the entire head, valve train, etc etc has to be replaced, so there are lots of finer aspects, but it can be done since they share the same DNA from the KTM family. And yes, if he insists he can do the entire SOHC to DOHC replacement paying out of his pocket, and it won't be covered under warranty. Warranty covers for a given aspect and model of the bike only. No, engine seizure won't come under insurance, only genuine accidents where the bike is physically damaged shall be covered under warranty. These will come under company warranty if applicable.

                  Cheers!

Having problems with my Dominar 2019 UG. Bought the bike in 2019 July (Still curse myself for taking this stupid decesion. Should have gone with CB300r or a Ninja300).
Also what I found really disturbing at the service centers is that the first reaction to any query is "it's all fine, nothing is wrong" without even checking the bike.
Can't belive in a place like Bangalore, the quality of mechanics is so bad. Everyone I came across at these service centers is a brainless f***.

Started hearing all sorts of rattling noises after first service at Khivraj Bajaj Marathalli.
After the second service at Khivraj Bajaj Indiranagar started hearing whine/humming noise from the bike when riding it at around 70-80 kmph in 5th/6th gear. Also its more pronounced when decelerating.
Took it to Khivraj Bajaj kasturba road and the mechanic told the sound is engine breathing (Don't really think that's what it is. Was engine not breathing before the second service.)
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this ?

Also at this point I would like to tell everyone planning to buy Dominar UG, DONT.
Spare your self from endless visits to their service centers.

Check the drive chain tension. If it is too tight or if the chain is dry you could be getting whining sound. Otherwise you might need to check wheel, rear sprocket and front sprocket bearings condition. There is a high chance that bearings are not faulty since it is a new motorcycle and the chain is not properly adjusted

check your chain and lubricate it. I also faced whining noise and chuck-chuck noise so SC said chain was loose and dry. Now it is perfect.
