Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
At what KMs did you guys Changed the clutch cable of your dominar ?
And I've oil leakage problem from the oil filter cap. It's not a drop-drop leak. But the oil filter cap and surrounding area is always covered in oil. After cleaning it will get covered in oil again in 2-3 days.
I changed the rubber O ring from service centre but it did not solve the problem.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
You are right in your comment, what I would suggest anyone buying a new bike is that they go choose their bike from the showroom go-down. For me I bought my bike from Mahim autoden in mumbai, where the guy wasn't very comfortable with me visiting the go-down but I insisted anyway and went on a sunday. Though they had only 1 bike in the color I wanted I made sure to note the chassis number which was below the pillion seat, asked the guy to connect the battery and checked the kms reading which was at 0.4 kms. I made sure that I informed the showroom guy to not drive the bike down and get it in a tempo (though I never got to personally, see my bike unload from the tempo, though I'd like to see that as well), but I made sure I was at the showroom while the bike was being made ready for delivery at the service center on the same day the bike arrived from the go-down, I checked the bike, made sure it had the same chassis number and accepted delivery the very next day. Be warned that the service centre guys will not connect the speedo that is at the rear wheel (will attach a pic soon so you can check it out for yourself) unless you take the delivery. I took delivery of my bike on temp number, so that the bike stays in my parking.Originally posted by yashasvi View Posthttps://youtu.be/T1z1DWSZLkw
Open the comments of this video, my comment is the most liked one, read it.
I might be wrong with what i have written there but i myself was offered a bike for test drive which was to be delivered in some days to a customer. You'll understand what i'm talking about after reading my comment
This entire process was to make sure that I get the bike I wanted and did take quiet a few visits to the showroom, but it's worth it in the end.
The Autoden guy was very helpful honestly and made sure I got delivery on time.I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello Dominar Owners
Recently bought a Dominar UG 2019 (matt black) after balancing the various comments here.
Like the bike so far coming from a RE TB 350 which I will be divorcing soon. Lets say it didn't work out.
Clocked 250k in 10 days on the dominar, regular commute and some long distance rides. Breaking in, so nothing over 60-65kph or 3k rpm.
Coming to the concern, my coolant levels have dropped significantly from above the max line to below min n these 10 days. Went to the Bajaj svc today who topped it up and asked to ride for another 250k (first service) to check if it drops drastically again. I suspect a leakage in the hose connection on the left side, though I can't say for sure as there are no stains on any of the plastic/metal below. Checked the oil and it doesn't seem to be cloudy yet (fingers crossed for the 500k mark). Will ride more till the first service and update here. Any other recommendations from the experienced folks welcomed.
I have also ordered the Lluvia handlebar risers pro and plan to install them soon as I am 6'1", TB RE was comfortable and intend to do touring soon. Questions:
Anyone knows a mechanic in Andheri East/West, or neighboring suburbs in Bbay to have this installed. I understand its an easy DIY and I am pretty experienced in mechanical fittings. However I would also like to get the clutch cable upgraded to the TB 350 (longer) one. Is that necessary or is the stock comfortable for the 1 inch riser with some adjustment. I dont mind installing a longer cable if it helps.
Will fitting the risers void the warranty?
Thanks for your help

Coolant levels are known to drop for a brand new bike, but it wont go down again. The coolant is just getting into the system completely, so it drops in level. Just drive till around first service, and you will also have a much cooler running bike, as the heating miraculously disappears post first service.Originally posted by kenny_tourer View PostHello Dominar Owners

Normal fuel is more than enough. You can use the speed or Shell Vpower every 4-5 full tanks of normal petrol to keep the fuel injectors. But more importantly, find a fuel station where the fuel is good and dependable.Originally posted by J_ARTLY View PostHi,
Any leads regarding which fuel suits better to Dominar UG 19. Normal petrol or premium fuels like speed , power or extra premium. I usually refill with premium fuel.Wind in my hair.... and I'm semi bald...

Everyone...the post I have quoted is posted by my brother 'LordVishnu' on 12th Sep 2019 ( Page. No 838 ) on this thread. I am his elder brother, 'prasath_xbhp'. My brother has taken delivery of his green Dominar 400 UG on 23rd Sep 2019 at Khivraj Bajaj, Pallikaranai. He has done quite a few long rides and some group rides since then. Last week on 17th Nov, 2019 evening, he went for a long ride alone taking his Nikon D3500 camera with him. While returning, he has collided with the yellow steel divider on the road at the Ambur, Pachakuppam Bridge. Even though he was wearing his MT Targo Truck Helmet, he has sustained heavy injuries in his head. We had shifted him to Rajiv Ghandhi Gov General Hospital in Chennai and had done surgery in the head, by evening around 06:00PM his condition got worse and the doctors declared him dead by 06:30PM. We had completed the burial on 20th Nov, 2019. He was 27 yrs old, selected straight out of campus interview in 2012 and currently employed as 'Programmer Analyst' in Cognizant Elcot Chennai.
According to the police who attended the spot, cause of the accident is due of high speed and losing control. We have checked that there was no rear vehicle collision. The bike is currently impounded at Ambur Taluk Police Station we have taken collected his bag and the helmet from them. I have informed the showroom people that I will take the bike from there bring it here to them to proceed further.
I am a die-hard motorcycle enthusiast even more than my brother. And have been following XBHP ever since the lauch of the XBHP magazine in 2010. But I ride a Suzuki MAX100R and a Hero Splendor....Even though I don't have a high capacity bike. I believe I am a little bit more mature than him in handling and living with motorcycles in this regard. So I want to express only a positive voice in the motorcycle community.
We buried him with a couple of his Hot Wheels Cars and a MV Agusta F4 1/18 Red Colour Maisto Scale Model.
I will post pictures of the bike and the helmet by maybe tomorrow.....plz keep checking this thread and refer to other fellow bikers also.My Motorcycles :-

Condolences to you and your family. This only tells us that having a helmet doesn't make us immortal and that we should always be in our limits. If you going to be repairing his Dominar for you to ride please check the frame of the bike thoroughly.Originally posted by prasath_xbhp View Post
