    Thanks Brother
    It's SCIMITAR Solus Mesh
    Bought it from spartanprogear.com
    Costed around 3.8K
It has shoulder-arm,elbow-forearm CE Armor and standard Armor for back..The Jacket is made up of light weight mesh material.. There's no protection in the anterior part of torso.. Has two mesh pockets inside the Jacket and two outside with zipper.. The arm and fore arm region have velcro straps for a snug fit.. Overall it's very comfortable and provides excellent air circulation while riding how ever it's not water/rain proof due to the mesh material.. Protection is limited to shoulder, arm, forearm and back

        Hi,

I got a chance to hit the highway couple of days back. I did around total of 210 kms which includes 15%-20% of heavy B2B traffic.
The bike is extremely relaxed below 4.5k rpm. Engine is very refined and smooth. Since I am still in my run-in period, maintained speeds of about 75-80 throughout the ride.
I also did few short bursts upto 110, just to satisfy myself when I got a long stretch of empty highway .

I did fuel up the tank right before the ride, and also after the ride. The obtained fuel efficiency, to my surprise, is 38.3 KM/L.

I'm very much satisfied with the bike for now. Hope to munch more miles sooner. I will share my experiences here regularly.

        Cheers!

Hey guys, so i have almost decided to buy the Dominar 400 after much deliberation and years of waiting for a bike that fits my bill. I went to take a test ride last week at Kalyani Bajaj, Mekhri Circle, Bangalore. And I want a couple of pointers from the guys who had bought the bike:

          1. When I test rode the bike, the rear brakes felt wooden. I mean I did not get the kind of feedback that I wanted. The front brake was too tight, or maybe I was not applying enough pressure but overall the brakes felt underwhelming. Are you guys having the same issue with the brakes. Maybe I will go for a test ride again to see if it was just that bike..

          2. Anyone on the forum who had purchased the bike from Kalyani Bajaj, and if so, how was the experience of buying and servicing? Or do you recommend any particular showroom from where I can buy it and give it for servicing without almost having to break my head in the process. This is the first time I will be buying a vehicle, so I am very apprehensive of the whole buying procedure. I have read on this forum the kind of nightmares people had gone through buying their bikes ( There was a post in particular discussing a buying experience in the Yamaha R3 ownership thread where the kind of treatment meted out to the customer was downright scary!)

          3. Does anyone know which ABS system the Dominar uses? And also does the ABS kick in under normal braking circumstances or does it only work under panic braking situations.

          Thanks

            1. Yes brakes aren't R15 sharp but they're good. They certainly aren't wooden and they do a good job of providing anchor to the elephant.

            2. No idea. I only took 2 test rides from them.

            3. Bosch, as far as I know. ABS is activated only when the ABS ECU detects an impending wheel lock - irrespective of the situation.
            Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Abs is by bosch and no complaints form my side on the breaking front . Always keep in mind that most part of the break power comes from front break so when rear is compared it feels wooden but it is not wooden at all. Dominar 400 has very good breaking capabilities. And abs is a life saver it only kicks in panic or sudden breakimg situations.

Thanks for the info, Divya Sharan, Ijs. Will be booking by this weekend or the next so that I get the bike by March. Lets hope the price doesn't increase by then.

Finished 550km yesterday and got the bike serviced.. It took about ₹1300.. Asked the service centre people to add indicator buzzer which added ₹20

Things I noticed after 1st Service:
                  The Bike felt completely different
It felt somewhat underpowered than it was before
The Vibration @ 4-5K RPM was still there
                  Gearshift was smooth

I guess the performance will subsequently increase in future services

Does anyone have any idea to prevent the scratch on the tank just above the rubber pad.. I thought of sticking an Arrow tank pad like the one in pulsar 220..Ideas are welcome
Did the SC agree to install indicator buzzer???

Ohk, i was reluctant to ask. I did not think they would agree. I really need the buzzer, i keep forgetting to turn off the indicator. Good for you.

Even I had a trouble of forgetting to turn off indicator.. That's why I needed the buzzer really bad.. However it's of no use in the highway

                            At about 5500-6000rpm! It reaches 79kmph @4500rpm.

                                It's between 4500-5000 Rpm.
