It is great if you can fill with high octane petrol.
You can fill it with normal petrol too. Nothing is mandatory.

If the manual states which is the minimum octane rating for fuel, follow that. Giving out a blanket statement that only high octane petrol to be used doesn't help matters. We have 91,93,97.

Bajaj is offering acrylic coating for bike paint protection. One of my friend has done ceramic coating on his car and I think its amazing. I am thinking to get same done on the bike. Please advise if there is any other coating which would help to evade scratches.
An Owner's Review saying he got scratch in his D400 tank with his jacket zip I guess.I doubt that paint protection.

Hi, I am using normal petrol along with system G on my Duke 390, no issue till date.

My concern is if this uses only high octane petrol then it is useless for long tours. Then definitely RE is better bet for Laddakh tour.

When so many duke200s,390s,ninja 300s,R3s and many more superbikes are doing leh ladakh circuit totally fine with normal petrol, why would dominor need high octane fuel? Dominor is a better bike in every sense to take to leh. It has fuel injection, abs and a better reliability and still people say RE is a better bike to take to leh!

No bike below a Daytona *needs* high octane petrol. Not even Z1000s and the Busas. 91 RON normal fuel is fine sir.

Well, that's why we use tank pads. Jackets and pants' zips hurt the tank and no paint can withstand it.

It Might be all dominars which you saw were on high beam. Otherwise low beam DRLs doesn't irritate.

Its funny to hear about using Higher octane oil on a Bajaj Dominar and one saying so RE is better for Ladhak tour.

RE sells because of a legacy & it will continue to do so. Dominor is leaps ahead in technology then RE (classic, thunderbird you name it). This will do any terrain which those two can do

There is no legacy in RE, people who doesn't know much about motorbikes or how a motorbike should be, will buy RE.

Absolutely agree with you. RE is the best example on how to convert fuel into loud sound.
