Also i have a very noob question:
I need to go somewhere on bike. Currently odo is on 270 around. My run will be around 500 to 550 kms.
Should i go for first bike service tomorrow before journey or i can go for service after journey?
After journey ODO will be around 800kms.

Request you all to please suggest so that i could plan accordingly tonight.

    Thanks in advance.
Service the bike after your trip.
    That's better.
The wrench icon will come up if you have to service it.

      Hai guys...
      Just a suggestion.

Some Ktm guys have been using the old KTM models light switch so that to off the lights (to remove AHO).

If any of you want to do the same, tell Bajaj SVC, they can get it done, by using the switch from RS200, as both have same switch gears.

      Cheers!

AHO is mandated since it improves the visibility of you to the other's on the road, thereby improving your safety.

Is it so hard to ignore people who show signs of headlight on. I usually turn on my headlamps when in a trip though my bike doesn't have AHO. People will slowly stop doing it once AHO becomes the norm, don't worry about it and ride safe.

I think this type of engine give you around 28-30kmpl.

In last 5 days, I have encountered at least 3 Dominars on road in bright day light and the LED light was "on your face, sucker!".
It was like the high beam of a usual bike, now with a super white LED which is almost blinding if you are directly in front of it on the other side.

                  Regards.
I guess you're missing the point/purpose of DRL/AHO. This is what it's supposed to do for road safety. Have you seen Audi/BMW/Jaguar/Mercedes? all have DRLs, so that anyone who is crossing roads be it vehicle or pedestrian can quickly know that the vehicle is approaching them.

Please don't fret unnecessarily, if you envy these things you can setup the same in your vehicle too. Also how can vehicle light be blinding in day time if it's only DRL?

Calm down and take a deep breath before getting repelled.

I've been running my bikes with headlight on since the RX-135 time(2006), and I still do with my R15-S which came without an AHO. No need to setup an AHO in older bikes, when it practically takes less than a second to turn it on manually. its common sense for some people, really.

Also, your argument about the cars coming with DRLs, well and good, its needed in today's times. However, have you seen those DRLs closely from the front? Most are just angel eye rings of the projectors and some are just the LED strips, nothing is a blasting stream of LED light blinding the oncoming traffic. I'm not saying the Dominar's AHO is crap, I just re-iterated the same term 'irritating' from its owner, confirming that, yes it is indeed blinding and thus irritating.
Point to note here: It might well have been that the riders I saw were riding with high beam on(?). That's a very common scenario here in Pune at least.

Though you state valid points which are plain facts we already know, however try to do that without sounding sore because it hurt your feelings that someone has an opinion about your bike's brand. We're all adults here.

                    Regards.

I took the Dominar for two 3-5 kms stretches of test rides till now, one in daytime and night. My friends and I never found it to be irritating or blinding traffic, guess this is subjective and varies from person to person. I never owned a Bajaj but somehow you came to know it's my bike brand. lol

I was told Bajaj Dominar uses High octane petrol only. Is it true.

It is confusing. Manual says use high octane petrol. But there are articles which say high octane petrol can damage engine. I go with normal petrol.
