The owners manual states that customer ID has to be provided to the dealer/service centre at time of first free service. Will bajaj SMS me a customer ID or will my booking ID which I got at time of online booking suffice? Please advice.

    2)Windshield with mounts 2200

Seems pretty over priced, maybe they are the first ones.

        Hey there fellas!
Got a call from my dealer today, asking for a long feedback, pros, cons, things I like, things I don't , delivery rating, test ride rating, comparison with my previous bike, etc.
And finally, they are planning to start a group for the Dominar riders, like a clan or tribe. He mentioned "Clan". He asked how much I would like that and if I would want to be a part of it if they started one.
        Seems pretty nice to hear.
Would be glad if they started one soon enough.

Day by day I am getting more comfortable and confident on this. Gear shifts are a problem but heard that they get really better after service. Fingers crossed. Gear indicator, I think, is a must for a 6 gear bike which is so touchy about being in the right gear. When the signal goes green it opens a wide gap between itself and the second fastest thing. My 11 km commute has been reduced by 20 minutes as compared to my car. Loving it.

Even I am intrested in having a group of all Dominar owners!
Will be very good and we all can share our knowledge and help fellow Dominar owners [emoji3]

Wanted to ask one question to all of you, how will the midnight blue dominar look along with red rim tapes[emoji28], was thinking about it but couldn't figure it out properly.

Today visited Khivraj Bajaj ,Chennai to have a feel of the bike.It was exactly the way I had been reading and hearing all this while from the various vloggers and owner s reviews.I wished if I could have taken the bike straight out of the showroom at that instant, alas that was not possible ,thanks to all these new booking rules and waiting period.Showroom guy says it's a minimum of 1 month. While enquiring about the registration process they told that no bikes are being given without RTO registration and it is mandatory. Also they said that a local address proof is required for RTO registration process.Since I am not from Chennai I do not have a local resident proof. They didn't tell me any other way aswell. Please suggest what should I do.If a person is not a local resident, can't he get the bike? This is absurd.🙄🙄🙄🙄

get any LIC policy and register your bike with the address mentioned in policy papers.
You can open policy with the help of rent address. I did the same.
Orelse open a bank account in nationalized bank like SBI and register your bike via bank passbook address.

Faced the same problem in 2010 while buying 220. I can suggest u couple of options but none of them is easy and fast and cheap
                  1) Buy the cheapest LIC policy. Please make sure that address in the policy will be considered as an address proof
                  2) make the aadhar card (if u don't HV one) or change the address in it. Address proof is not necessary but you would need someone else from the vicinity to vouch for it. It doesn't cost a time but substantial effort and time.

Hey, I'm from Salem and took the bike from Coimbatore. Ask them to get you a temporary registration certificate (TCR). For me, they got one valid for one month, and I'm done with the permanent registration now. I paid 1250 for temporary registration and job is easily done.
                    Now, my bike is registered.!
                    Try asking them regarding this.
                    Else, go with others advice

                          Plus I'm surprised to read that CBR250R stalls @25 in 3rd. That's a revelation.
I was wrong, boss. The CBR 250 does not stall at 25kmph in 3rd gear. It stalls at 10-12 kmph in 3rd gear. I've tested it twice on a flat road, up shifting to third gear at 10-13 kmph. It never stalled at 13kmph, though it lugged heavily.

Dominar guys, please check your bikes too. I don't recommend lugging the engine ever, but just for the sake of testing, once or twice.

Food for thought, leech, are the results gonna mean anything significant that they're gonna be useful for the fellow users? Be it Dominar, CBR or what not. There is a minimum mechanical threshold for every engine to operate. There is no point at comparing apples-to-oranges as to how they operate and at what speeds they lug, stall et cetera. Though you are right, intentional lugging is indeed a nasty habit to practice.

Remember, we are not riding diesels to have 200 NM of torque at 1500 to 2000 RPM with the touch of throttle without stalling. Engines are prone to stall more often when run at ridiculously slow speeds and sudden throttle openings and this shouldn't partake in the debate of the what speed mine stalls, yours stalls et cetera.

Do not try this, this is precisely the reason why a gearbox is present to allow you to choose the ratio as to not stall the engine. Hope this helps everyone get an idea as to what not to do.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Aah, this wasn't a debate of yours vs mine, I was wondering how different bikes were tuned in stock form. Also got info on the CBR 150, NS 200 and the rs200, but they weren't relevant in the Dominar thread.

Yes, as you know, all bikes will be tuned differently, the same torque you get from a RE 350 at a particularly low RPM, would only stall on a super sport or other motorcycles with similar CC or different tuning. The point is to ride them, as to know which bike is setup how. And we aren't even talking about multi-cylinder bikes here, which have a different character altogether. But, bottomline, you yourself in your post, mentioned you've lugged it heavily at 13 KMPH, what did you find out? Just little things like this help in prolonging engine life to a rather a significant extent.

                                Cheers!
