Please, let me know few ppl mileage on this. I'll consider to buy this bike if mileage would be 35kmpl at nominal speed handling. One xbhpian gave me heart attack by saying 18kmpl. Pls consider this as humble request n update mileage.

Had my first highway ride on the D400 yesterday . Went to Chokhidhani sonipat, with wife as pillion. Total distance cover is 118kms.
We left from home at 12.30pm and found big traffic jam for about 2-3 kms at the delhi bypass. After that the ride was smooth and moderate traffic. We reached to our destination in 1 hr.
I was trying to keep it under 5000rmp at this point i am doing 85kmph to 90 kmph. And the bike can do around 95kmph at 5k rpm in sixth gear. The bike felt relaxed at triple digit speeds and can easily hold 120kmph all day without any fuss.
Breaks were also very good i encountered few drivers cutting lanes wrongly and slowing down in middle. But ABS is very confidance inspiring.
Engine was very smooth and resposive. And max speed i touched was 110kmph at around 5500rpm . There is a buzz at footpegs post 5k rpm but nothing serious.
Ride was fun and comfortable we wanted to go to karnal but have to make it short as we need to be back by 5pm. After riding non stop for 1hr we are both very fresh and happy. Wife is also happy as a pillion and did not complain at all.
The return trip was also very fast and smooth gear shift also felt smooth on the return leg, but again we faced big traffic jam after kundali till bypass this time i rode in mostly 1st gear for around 9kms. Too much traffic . But still no heat from the engine and response was good and smooth. Return trip took 1.5hrs.

I was expecting good fe of around 30+kmpl but it would be less i guess due to the jams we faced.
Overall a very good ride and bike feels planted and composed despite heavy wind speed . Only my neck was shaking post 85kmph.
This is a very good bike to ride on open roads with pillion and would be a very good companion for any one looking for a tourer which can also be your daily ride.

Joyous buddy i was set to buy mojo it is a very good bike . But dominar 400 trumps it in many count. Dominar is very easy to handle in traffic and has better breaks than mojo. Pickup is also good in d400. Major plus point is the price at which d400 is available and that too with ABS , d400 also has better pillion comfort. Mojo has more exotic parts like very good pair of tyres and front forks. And availability of service is better in d400 (hamara bajaj). D400 abs 1.69 lacs otr delhi whereas mojo is around 1.93lacs otr that too without abs.
Trust me with powerful bikes like these ABS is a must have.

Nice update bhai. What to expect more in less than 1.7 lac. Even if d400 have 3 years of trouble free life, even then it is worth to buy for hard core touring.

Nice write-up bhai.!
It's sounds great to hear the same thoughts I had after my trip to pondy. Everything you mentioned is what I experienced, like the vibes post 5k, abs, etc.
Wish you many happy miles.!
Cheers.
