They told me they are giving 3 years free insurance with zero depreciation, but the policy is for one year. When I complained they told me to come and take the refund.Originally posted by n1tesh View PostThey didn't gave you 3yrs Free Insurance ? Or you negotiated ?

First impressions. It's a big bike . The road presence is good . Gear shifts , to me it felt smooth not clunky. Acceleration is really good. Exhaust sound is really bassy . The weight is not felt at all. It gives good confidence to ride . I didn't take it beyond 60.
The head lamps are drool worthy. It's really bright. It is what which grabs people's attention.
Received no freebies. Just the manual and a booklet. The booklet contains all things that was there in the brochure. Nothing new.
Overall really happy with it.

And regarding the petrol tank capacity mine was also showing the last bar. I filled it up to full with just petrol worth Rs 740. So around 9 liters. And now fuel indicator shows full tank.Originally posted by Hunterkol View PostHello DrBeatsB,
I read your post and could not refrain from replying since, the dealer you booked your bike from is one of the worst Bajaj Dealers in town. I can say this because I have bought my ride from them in March last year. If I am not wrong, someone by the last name Nandi must be talking to you, he is good guy but, he is bound by the owner who is an unprofessional and insensitive person. They bring the bikes with center stands by trucks and bikes with side stand by driving them from their warehouse at barasat. Their service centre and technicians are good for nothing and have no idea about the technicality of these modern rides. I am saying so because I have AS200 taken from them and have personal experience in their incompetence. Don't buy anything from their accessories shop in-house, don't sign the registration documents till you inspect the bike yourself (they tend to give the customer bikes for test rides), check every mm of the the ride thoroughly including tyres. Take the delivery day time. Rolta os worst in terms of customer service.
Please do not misunderstand, the feedback is for the dealer and not for the bike. I have been following this thread to know more about D400 from fellow riders for me to convince myself to buy another bajaj. I am sure you will enjoy your machine and I wish the very best for your ride.
Ride Safe !

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi Guys,
I got the bike yesterday (4th Feb '17 booked on 16th Jan) and crossed around 175 km in 2 days (was 6km in the odometer while I was taking from the showroom). The bike is catching every one's eyes (Mostly Boys) and yeah the power is so awesome that I can overtake like a king, really Dominating the roads. I have noticed few things on my bike, can any one clarify those for me.
1.When I test ride the bike it was pretty smooth and I could easily cross 6k rpm and 7k rpm without much vibes. But in my brand new bike, I'm having some vibration when I reach around 4k rpm to 5k rpm (in low gears 3, 4) and I'm not enjoying that. Will it be resolved after the first service?
2. How can we update the ECU in Dominar, Should we have to mention about this during our first service (is it recommended by Bajaj) ? After this update can I expect a smooth engine like Mahindra Mojo ?
3. Since the Bike has good torque in low down I thought it'll be good in city rides, but In my experience I had to play tic tac in 2nd and 3rd gears to maintain speed of 18 - 42 km/h. For now 2nd, 3rd gears are bit harder (which will get smoother after the first service as mentioned by the dealer).
Please don't take it like a complaint, This is just my experience that I have shared. I'm bit curious about these things. When I cruise the bike in 5th and 6th gear (around 60 to 70) it's damn smooth, that's the fun part which I liked on my bike. I wish I could get the similar smoothness in low gears since 70% of my ride will be in city.Last edited by Ashik Ajith; 02-06-2017, 01:57 AM.
