abs a must on this bike. bike heavy and powerful. if you open throttle it gets too fast for corner before you realise it. abs will improve confidence and might even save an accident

I agree with you, I dont think people have got to be stringent on this. An additional 20k could be a life saver in unexpected occurrences.

But the ABS is not as good as Ktm Duke 390, and the power of the bike is less then Duke 390, it's upto the buyer weather he wants ABS or non ABS, as I preferred non ABS.

Guys can anyone please help me in locating the dealer in gurgaon, where I can test ride the bike, I am told that it is available on new railway road Gurgaon, but that's a god forsaken address, is there anywhere else I can go and see, thanks in advance

Guys one more question for people who are already riding the beast, what is it optimal cruising speed, or say at what speed does it cruise at say 5000 rpm on 6th gear

5k rpm on 6th gear should land you around 80-90kmph.
Optimal cruising speed, IMO would be 70-100 kmph

                      ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

The clunky noise during first to second gear shift started occuring in my bike since yesterday. I called the service engr and informed him and I was told that it would be rectified during 1st service.
Now, I was riding my Eternia from home to the gym today evening and it started raining heavily. I had to ride about 15 kms to the gym and took a longer route due to better roads. The rain ride turned out to be awesome and I went to the gym half hour late.
                      Points noted:
                      1) Brakes are awesome and a great confidence booster even on slushy, slippery terrain, probably due to ABS, nevertheless, they were good.
                      2) I noticed there wasn't any water logging in the secondary instrument cluster as many people had feared earlier due to the dip before the cluster. Similarly, there was no water logging in the primary cluster too. ( checked after reaching gym and rechecked after coming back home )
                      3) The light is a bit poor as it was little foggy around 6 pm. I am probably gonna install fog lights later, if I'm planning some rides to the hills.
PS: These results are from a 20 min ride in the rain. Prolonged exposure to rain may lead to water logging in the clusters as seen on the initial batches of RE Himalayan.

                      Ride safe,
                      Cheers,
                      SV

gsm bajaj and krishna bajaj have it. i have taken test rides from both places.

krishna bajaj will be easier to find. On mg road go straight towrds gurgaon till you reach sadar market. just before entering main market take a right and go straight. showroom will be on right side some 200-300 m ahead.

if you want a reference, ask for Vivek. tell him my name Vaibhav. he may have forgotten so remind him i was his customer in green yamaha and bought r15 from him. will help you if you want extra long test ride or something.

Yes the brake feel is great and the stopping distance is less in Ktm Duke 390, but in dominar you need to press the lever full to the end and the stopping distance is more compare to Duke 390, I feel the and on Duke is much responsive then the dominar that's why I booked non ABS.

haha. if brakes on dominar not so good and sharp like duke, thats all the more reason to book abs version.

mind you, its brakes of duke are better and not the abs.

anyways its your choice, if you feel confident with non abs version.

I know am a bit late to the party, but finally took a test ride in Mysore after a month as the Popular Bajaj showroom recieved bike this week.. Have to say, Bajaj did a really good job on this one.. I did find the bike to buzz a lot after 3k rpm, might be because I was the 30th guy to get the ride after launch event and almost 20 of them have revved it to red line.. And the engine was pretty hot and smelled of hot burnt oil.. Also, shifting from 1st to 2nd was clunky, but other shifts were smooth, especially downshifts.. Planning to take another test ride next week during free time to check if the vibes kick in for a cooler engine.. Anyway, gonna book ABS version in the first week of Feb.. 20-30 days waiting period..
