My bike give 32kmlp on highway at 110kmph and 28kMpl in citg.Originally posted by leech View PostFor 35 kmpl consider lesser cc bikes like Duke 250, CBR 250 and FZ 25. I have a CBR and it gives 35-40 kmpl on the highway if you limit the speed to around 100 kmph.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi, I travel 30kms every day, all on outer ring road.. Maintaining speed of 60-80kmph, I get 35-38kmph consistently (Have used Shell petrol only, if that has any contributing factor).. Coming to long trip, traveled all the way from Mysore to Udupi, 368kms in 6 hrs, maintaining 80-110kmph.. Bike has returned 34.6kmpl (full tank to full tank method).. I'm pretty happy with my mileage.. Can't comment much on bumper to bumper traffic as Mysore doesn't have much traffic to talk about..Originally posted by MANU JOSEPH View PostHello dominar bros,
Please tell me the true mileage of dominar in city and highway..Bcz Im planning to buy it & Im commuting 72kms daily in bike....So thinking abt a little bit of mileage too....So please reply....
Don't expect too much from a 373cc bike.. As told by others, better look at FZ25 or Apache 200 for better balance of performance and mileage or CBR if budget allows..

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Sorry to hear about your bike, but ridden my bike for nearly 1600kms in 15 days (trip to my native was 800kms).. Haven't faced any sort of vibrations except in 3.5k to 4.5k rpm in 4th and 5th gear.. Ridden for 6hrs continuously covering 368kms as said in an earlier post, and not even for once did I feel the radiator kicking in.. Maybe because I haven't revved it too much or maybe I'm lucky to get a good bike (don't wanna Jinx it[emoji12]).. Coming to pillion comfort, though I haven't sat in pillion seat, no one has complained much this far, even on the long ride.. I can comment on comparison between this and Pulsar because I have been riding Pulsar 180 for 4yrs and this is way too smooth when compared to that..Originally posted by drvmtm View PostGot my bike for almost a month now. Not happy with the vibration and comfort levels. Feels brutal and rough edeged, more like a bigger pulsar. Touring with pillion on board is not comfortable as like Cbr s or karizma s. It's a good package though but refinement is still not up to the mark. Head light is good but color temperature is the problem. Breaks are ok, nothing to complain about. Shock absorber s are not matched for comfort. Belly pan catalytic converter rubs and hits deeply when fully loaded with pillion. Engine changes its charecter when used for all day touring, sound changes, yet to see about engine oil eat up in long run. Runs cool though even on full load. Horns are weak but head light is OK but the charging system is awesome and one can easily tap 100 plus watt load from it. It will be super cheap to maintain as the parts are easy to get and shared with other Bajaj line up. Apache mirrors are a good upgrade for touring.
Not to offend anybody but just my opinion. Had better expectations from rajiv ji.
Am in no way saying this is the ultimate bike or THE best bike, but I'm really happy with the VFM..

I am from Bhubaneswar and I guess I am getting around 29-30 kmpl. Once only i hit the highway and that also only for some 30-40 kms and rest commuting to office and city ride.
Till date I have clocked 830 kms in 20 days and filled my tank with 28 lts of petrol and still running.
Cheers, Ride safe

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi Joseph: You can expect a mileage of 37 if you keep the engine in 55-65 kmph range engaged in 6th gear in the city which i am experiencing currently in Hyderabad due to very less traffic as i usually reach office before 8 am and around 30-35 during normal and peak traffic hours. I hope it has a potential to touch above 40 km mileage once we hit the open roads on highways at crusing speeds of 80-100 kmph. Just go for dominor brother if your bugdet is above 1.25 lakhs to enjoy the true bike riding experience.Originally posted by MANU JOSEPH View PostHello dominar bros,

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Its great to know as i am 6'2 and 97kgs and i am planning to get the bike so its glad to know this from you that weight and height will not be an issue, thank you. [emoji4]Originally posted by jazzysaravana View PostGood to know you're enjoying your new ride. I felt Dominar's had one of the best weight balance/handling characteristics with pillion in motorcycles I've ridden. I'm close to 93kgs and 6ft tall and when i took the test-rides there was a equally heavy advisor accompanying me as pillion. The initial pull/acceleration with both of us was so effortless, it never left sluggish. And even after the 4-5kms test ride, I never felt like i had a pillion with me. In this department Bajaj has nailed the comfort quotient.
Did you face any fatigue or any pressure points in your back after the long ride?
Cheers!

I am 6 feet with 130 kg chasis a tall and fat guy. I am absolutely happy about the effort less engine and dynamics. It's big and good. I am finding high speed stability and comfort levels with 80 plus kg pillion and fully loaded bike with bags and accessories are quite OK for the price u pay here but still one if and one but stays. May be spoiled with Honda Cbr 250 [emoji17].....Originally posted by harry032701 View PostIts great to know as i am 6'2 and 97kgs and i am planning to get the bike so its glad to know this from you that weight and height will not be an issue, thank you. If we change the gears a bit late the vibration s are well in check. Found out that the foot pegs are not up to the mark and rubber content is less and metal content is more. May be peg from karizma or Cbr 250 will bring more comfort levels and less vibes.
Handle bar vibes or buzz can be reduced to great extent by applying a second linkage so it may dampen the wide handlebar.
The front fairing and light surface have to open those and apply double tape, rubber insert to reduce buzz.
But it's absolutely a steal for the money we pay. It's very cheap to maintain alsosigpic

Is there any plugging point/extra wire point to connect aux/ charger without tamper stock wiring kit...?? Or shall we need to connect wire to battery directly with fuse.Originally posted by drvmtm View Post

Tapped the power switch source from ignition coupler. Routed through relay and fuse boxOriginally posted by ATHUL4R View PostIs there any plugging point/extra wire point to connect aux/ charger without tamper stock wiring kit...??
