Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I went to service centre today and tested 3 dominar(1 test ride bike and 2 just arrived one ) and I heard same sound in all the bikes.Originally posted by Vivek Sreekumar View PostHeyPiyush,
I had the same sound that only comes when I am accelerating. I had this sound from day 1. Had mentioned this in one of my initial posts back. When I close the throttle there is no sound. Its a little bit weird to hear this as it makes me think there is some issue with the bike. Thankfully its not just me thats getting this sound. I had pointed this out to the service guy and he said it is the wind hitting the number plate that is making it
.
Well service guys told me that they have reported this to bajaj and will let me know in case its resolved.
Cheers, ride safe

I am facing this problem. Talked with the service center guys. They said its solved. But the problem persists. Its irritatingOriginally posted by Freebiker19 View PostDoes anybody have fuel gauge problem?. The fuel gauge does not show the amount of petrol remaining while the engine is running. I have to switch off and turn it on again to check the fuel. Is this common in all Dominars?.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Same here! This is very annoying!Originally posted by sman999 View PostI noticed this strange thing while riding yesterday. I was riding a downhill. Ignition was on, but gear was not engaged. The rpm was constantly at 2000 below 27kmph and 2500 above 27kmph. No throttle input was given though. I was wondering why this is happening. So then I thought of checking in gear with depressed clutch. In first gear when the clutch is depressed it is always at 2000 rpm doesn't go down to 1500rpm. Has anyone experienced the same? Why so? Please check and update.
Thank you.
Checked with Bajaj service and they say the usual crap, "sir efi hai na, aise hi rehta", pure BS! And when they argue on this, more BS!
I have ridden atleast 3 efi (fuel injected) motorbikes and none had this problem. For some reason Bajaj service guys think that, this is how efi systems work.
On top of that, they shamelessly say, this behavior is also prevalent in RS200 as well!
This is normal and this is a non-issue, they refused to accept this as a problem.
After insisting a lot, they said that they'll report to Bajaj engineers about this and sent me off.
I'm personally very annoyed and disappointed with this. Every gear shift is clunky! This thing ruins the entire pleasure of riding this motorbike!

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Just a thought for my friends who earlier rode a bullet. The torque in this bike is good . Its more than 350 and not much farther than 500. Considering this is a power/touring bike. It is also an urban bike and the torque rests at 70-100. The bike just flies if you are driving it mildly and want to push it. Thats home for her. Also they had to make power output to be good , so they couldn't flaten the torque more ( i think so) . We all are coming from different bikes, and the more you drive it, the more you can better respond/drive/handel/understand it. 😁

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
You get waht you paid for.No point complaining for SVC.They are worldclass poor SVC and no one can actually beat them.
Is it because of the engine being heated a tad bit hence the RPM goes close to 2000.
ALso you have to understand the fact that bajaj SVC really cant help you to sort any sorts of problem at all.Its better to have a good understanding of how the things work so that you can fix your problem on your own.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
True that. The problem starts when the owner wants to ride it like a regular 150cc or the very famous slow moving heavy piece of metal. Some always wants ride in top gear in very slow speed and complain about bike giving shudders some even say that their 223cc bikes pulls from 40kmph in top gear to its top speed , bhai log 400cc high revving engine shoul be given some respect to the proper revvs at each gear.Originally posted by ROHAN SPEEDOFREAK SHARMA View PostJust a thought for my friends who earlier rode a bullet. Poor EFI mapping was the thing I was talking about,
and thats a thing we all agree.
Nothing with the pulling in top gear and 150 or 223cc and respecting the ride.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Sorry brother my words are not intended for you. My bad if u feel that way . I was say what i have seen guys saying, like some one saying my 150 pulls from 35kmph to the top whack of 100kmph or stuff like that.Originally posted by abhisheklalnediya View PostPoor EFI mapping was the thing I was talking about,

And yes i do agree that the re mapping done with the ecu has infact made the bike bit sluggish and reported the same to bajaj engineer and was told that new re map might come.
I am again sorry if my words offended any one.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Yes I have this problem as well in my Dominar. The gauge only updates once you switch it off and then on again. However, since I owned the NS which was also highly inaccurate in the fuel indication department. I know the approx mileage the bike gives and reset the trip meter on each tank top up. So i just keep an eye on the distance travelled to know when I have to fill it up again, rather than looking at the fuel gauge.Originally posted by Freebiker19 View PostDoes anybody have fuel gauge problem?. Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
You've been asking the same question in multiple threads? What's the purpose?Originally posted by sauravalwaysurs View PostHello dominar owners,
Anybody here switched from karizma?
Do you have a Karizma and want to know which bike the former Karizma owners found better? Well guess what, that's not going to be helpful. Everyone has different preferences and riding style which changes with time. So rather than this, try out the bike of your choice and make a decision.
