Guys, I want to lube the chain of my Dominar at home. Since the bike doesn't have centre stand and I don't have access to paddock stand, how am I suppose to do it? During 1st servicing I asked the mechanic to clean and lube the chain but he didn't do. Now my bike has done around 980 KMS and I'd like to do it on my own.

Use either groller or motojack.

For about 6months every two weeks, I used to do this..
Clean a portion => Push Bike ahead => Repeat till chain is covered
Lube a portion => Push Bike Behind => Repeat till chain is covered

Then I bought the GRoller at 52% discount during Republic day, now I'm saved the pain of pushing ..

Has anyone in this group done Touring on their Dominar with pillion? Can you share your experience regarding it? Is it comfortable for pillion for long distances?

I did. It would become difficult after first few hundreds of kms. Can be manageable by taking good amount of breaks at regular intervals.

Mostly all the con will be sorted out in the new upcoming 2019 version.
New one have better suspension , better breaking setup, multiple displays with lot of info.
By far a very good and competent touring Machine equally capable inside the city, only con that can bother someone would be the fuel economy which is 24 to 28 kmpl in city and on Highways it is good i use to get around 32 to 36kmpl.
Headlight is superb and best stock setup on any Indian Motorcycle IMO.
Low end power delivery was bit jerky in our version but that would be changed in the upcoming version.
Tyres could be better , I and many others did upgrade to better rubber though the stock mrf are very good but the wet grip was lacking.
Seat cushioning is dependent on rider and pillion taste.
I must add a very good machine now made even better by Bajaj.
Do go through all the pages if u need more info.

The new Dual Barrel Exhaust of Dorminar UG is prone to Rain water and during regular washing as the Exhaust pipe are looking to SKY...

Any comments on it?
Else it's just a superb machine now.

The new Dual Barrel Exhaust of Dorminar UG is prone to Rain water and during regular washing as the Exhaust pipe are looking to SKY...

Any comments on it?
Else it's just a superb machine now.

There is always a drain hole for this very reason in every exhaust. Peek at the bottom side of the muffler just where it starts

Looks like the tyre marking, if there is no visible crack in the sidewall the ignore it and if i still have doubt the visit ur nearest mrf office.

Hey Guys, I was wondering if it is possible to replace my dominar's forks with Mojo's USD forks. If so, where in bangalore canI get this done and any idea how much would it cost? Bought my dominar four months back, so I dont have much info on changing parts and all that.

Also, at the moment, the bike is heating up alot in traffic (Blore traffic) compared to the initial days. Is this due to the weather? ODO reading is 3k

Mojo one won't be possible but u can use ktm 390 one on Dominar. For the heating could be the change in weather and to be on safe side get the coolant checked up.

I used a empty 4ltr dabba of bereger paint to lift the rear and front both. You can use similar thing or the car scissor jack.

Yes Its completely normal. You can cut it out as well its just extra piece of rubber from Tyre manufacturing

hey guys! whenever i ride the bike on lower gears around the 4500-5500 RPM band, the engine would completely shut off while i press the clutch. i have been encountering this problem since my last service at 5K kms, took it to the SVC 3 times and all they did was reset the ECU,downgraded the ECU version(2nd time), replaced the air filter(3rd time). the bike runs fine for few 100 kms after the reset, but then the same problem occurs again. has anyone else encountered this problem? what could possibly be the problem causing factor and any fix for this?

ODO reading: 8800kms

I use the car jack and clean lube the chain. Though take the help of my watchman as well.

Bought my Dominar on 27 November 2017. I love the kawasaki green version of the New Dominar. Should i go for the new one? I just love bajaj. The refinement. From the blue stickered till this date. I have had every bike of Bajaj Pulsar. Even my dad had a scooter Bajaj. My brother too. I just wish their parts a bit more available at Upper Assam.
