Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello Friends,
I would like to ask one thing. Last week I went to Dehradun by Dominar. It was raining very lightly. There was a section of about 10- 15 kms in which there was construction work going for the doubling of the road. There was all slush and mud everywhere and there was no concrete. During that patch the bike became almost impossible to drive and the tires were slipping very badly. Couple of times I thought that I am going to fall down but luckily that did not happened. Can please someone tell whether dominar stock tires are so bad to face this type to muddy situation. What tires should one upgrade to get a better grip on these muddy patches.Regards,
Rahul

Yes, the stock tyres are not that great in slush. You can get off road tyres from Timsun(stock size is available) or Ralco(slightly upsized) but you might lose some grip on paved roads.Originally posted by raulmalik View PostHello Friends,

Could it have something to do with the ABS since I see that your profile reads Dominar 'ABS' version? It is known to cause stability issues on off-road conditions and is also the reason why some bikers install custom wiring and ABS kill switch on the handle bar?Originally posted by raulmalik View Post...Last week I went to Dehradun by Dominar. Also, reduced tyre pressure according to load in rainy conditions/season helps big time.
Would love to read some old time experts adding their bit to this question.Last edited by trailwright; 04-22-2019, 05:04 PM.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I guess that's due to soft suspension setup. Even i booked 2019 Dominar will be getting it on May 1st week. Here(Mangalore) Test Ride bike was not there so couldn't check how it rides at high speeds. Limited stocks arrived here and all sold outOriginally posted by kany1991 View PostHey anyone bought 2k19 domi?
How's the high speed stability I've heard its wobbly at higher speed 120+??
I'm waiting for next batch to arrive.

Change oil at 4k-5k kms and with every oil change, replace the oil filter as well. That's recommended by the expert mechanicsOriginally posted by abhisheklalnediya View PostGuys,
Last week My domi crossed 10,000. so did an oil change.
Oil is about 7000KM old and the oil filter is 10000. After that the ride become super smooth, there is a big difference.
It was motul 7100 I used last 2 times. I think its better to change oil every 5000KM and see the air filter, Its also needed to be replaced at 6000 - 7000KM.
I ordered the parts from 99rpm, Service is average. I made the order 2weeks ago and they took 10 days to dispatch the the items and got the shipment today, but the thing is some items are still not dispatched. Due to the delay I actually bought the filters from local service center.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi Guys , Today i test drove the new dominar . Amazing bike and the power delivery is linear and the vibrations are minimal on the handle bar and rider footrest . Slight vibes but if u wear gloves and riding boots then they are virtually non existent. But when i sat as a pillion the footrest did vibrate alot , not like the royal enfield but somewhat what u feel when u hold a trimmer a bit amplified , So guys my question is do these vibes dampen down after the first oil change. Owners of the old dominar will be able to help me . The bike only had 55 kms on the odo

One hack to reduce the pillion foot rest was to use to buy the foot pegs of the rider, cut out the rubber section and stick it to the pillion foot rest using super glue. Works like a charm is what I have heard.Originally posted by Abhii97 View PostHi Guys , Today i test drove the new dominar .
