Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
There are chances that the chain is slapping the swing arm. If that's the case then have you fitted the chain slider kit? If the sound persists then get your rear wheel bearings checked.Originally posted by Goutham10 View PostGood afternoon!
Of late i am hearing a weird rattle from the rear. Its not the chain though, its like a metallic sound which appears when i hit a bad patch or a pot hole at very low speeds..any help would be great..
Thank you!

I'm not sure about the chain slider kit, is there any way i can check?? It's more of a metallic rattle that i hear at very low speeds over bumps and pot holes.Originally posted by Throttlefreak View PostThere are chances that the chain is slapping the swing arm. Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
My bike is facing the same problem from more than 6 months but issue is still unidentified.I am from Surat Gujrat. Please tell me name of service center which was fix your bike.thanksOriginally posted by Parththebeast View PostAn issue which is unidentified even By Bajaj India
Bike Age: 1.5 Yrs
ODO: 26000+ Kms
Issues:
1) 5th or 6th Gear 90Km/hr + Bikes suddenly stop responding to throttle as if I have no fuel left in the tank.
2) Radiator reservoir requires to top up after every 400-500 Kms. Topup qty 350ml approx.
Resolution
1) Bajaj Mechanics unable to identify the issues since 3 Days, changes all Spark plugs, Air Filter, FI Sensor, Throttle Body cleaned, Fuel filter, fuel pump, ECU Update, still same issues. God knows what else they going to change the next.
2) No solution found yet, instead have started filling up on my own :-(

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Do Not use 10W40 in Dominar...Recommended grade is 10W50 and you can also use 15W50 & 20W50. I'm currently using Valvoline Champ XtraBT 15W50 SS and am extremely satisfied, the cost is Rs.1005 for 2.5L. You can also buy two 1L Shell Ultra 15W50 FS from Amazon for Rs.649 each. Remember, if you decide to switch grade then do the oil change yourself or take it to a garage but don't do it at service centre or else they will void your warranty.Originally posted by ghost_riderr View PostHi guys,
I would like to know about Castrol 10w40. How good is it?
Currently I'm using Motul, but it seems to be burning out faster than Bajaj oil. Would Castrol be better than that or?2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

I would prefer Bajaj's( total) synthetic oil over Castrol
And I've used shell advance too it lasts upto 3,500 kms on my NS
Bajaj's oil 4.5-5k kms
Motul 7100 - 6-6.5kLast edited by kany1991; 05-02-2019, 05:51 PM.
