    Hello there,

I understand the way you are feeling about this but my suggestion would be to learn to live with it and grow old together with the bike instead of worrying about these nit picks.

Put your mind on the ride and soon you will forget about it.

    Regards

Bajaj has now officially stopped/shut the hyperrides program which includes the weekly rides. At least here in Delhi it is official now the main ride co ordinator has also left the job. Imo it is abad move as many have bought the bike after hearing and being part of the hyperrides.
Whats the status of other cities.

Hello everyone. Hope you all are enjoying your dominars and hyper riding.
I have my 10000 kms service coming up. I had gone for some trivial work to the service centre. The guys at service centre said that your dominar's chain sprocket is weak. I am sceptical as my bike has run only 8000 km. I keep the chain decently lubed by using Motul C2 chain lube. Can someone enlighten me how to check for weakness of chain sprocket. I will be going with the engine oil Motul 7100 10W50 on this service.
Will update about the experience with Motul. I had done a long ride about 2000 km 3 months back. The vibrations were there and it was difficult to ride 200 km in one go. It needed a stop.
I will also be installing carbon racing windshield and post if there is any wind protection. Had ordered windshield from carbon racing along with number plate extenders. But they did not ship the latter and went completely silent after I lodged a complaint with them. So I am thinking of mounting the number plate on the front rim.
          Ride safe guys and enjoy

Make sure you do these before putting the new oil..
            - Drain via 3 outlets and not just two.. 3rd one is located underneath the engine, you will have to remove the bottom coul for it to be visible.. Loosen the bolt, oil will drain.. Don't remove it as doing so will need you to take out exhaust unit
            - Use engine oil flush after removing the old oil: Once you use that and drain it out, you are good to go for new oil..

Remember, first 100-150kms you won't find any difference at all.. In-fact even the gear shift will be a bit annoying.. So keep your verdict for later as it's smooth later..

Aren't you supposed to use engine flush 'along' with the old oil, run it for a bit and then remove the oil? I thought that's how it's meant to be used.

Thanks for the heads up about the 3rd place for draining oil. I had an idea about it. I guess after draining oil from 3rd outlet, the amount of oil it may take maybe 1700 ml. I have a simple doubt, it may be silly. Here we are not changing the oil grade, the previous Bajaj Total oil is also 10W50. Do we still need to use engine flush?

Well, someone who has done it can confirm.. I was been told to do it this way...

It's not the grade but the quality of oil.. It's like pouring pure ghee in dalda ghee container, you will still get some taste...

The bajaj oil becomes extremely black and has a tendency to collect small metal particles hence the flush. Check the used oil and the filter. You'll know what I'm talking about.

I'm at 7500kms and here's my checklist for the 10k service. While you should refer to the owners manual for what needs to be done, below is from discussions across various forums, chats.

                      Rear break bite
                      Check brake pads
                      Chain slider L clamp
                      Change oil
Replace oil filter, o ring, magnetic filter, clean filter under cowl
                      Replace air filter
                      Gear box roughness
                      Replace fuel filter
                      Clean throttle & FI

Again, everything from the above is not mandatory, I'm planning on doing the above.

Regarding the oil brand change, I think sticking with the same old grade wouldn't require the engine flush, but I'm not sure if the engine flush would be a bad thing to do either. Though flushing it every time you change the brand (not grade) of oil maybe an overkill.

Sadly there is no option to get rid of current deep scratch, you can say maximum cover it up by 50-60% and prevent futures ones with cermaic pro 9H or similar coatings or 3M PPF (matte PPF or gloss PPF either).

Should cost from 3-6K depending on what parts you get done, the place and brand.

It'll easily from last for say next 2-3years even in bad conditions. Maintained well even upto 4years.

In my view you can get the complete tank outer fiber replaced in 4 years which costs way below 4k instead of 3M PPF for 4years and then getting it replaced.
PPF is worthy for the car not bikes. Think wise if any other opinion please put forth.

Same think happened with my friend for avenger. 3M PPF for the complete tank took 4K and new tank was 3.5K 2 years back.
